2. Mes Music
Address: 503 Main St, Woodstock, NB E7M 3P1, Canada , Villapark , New Brunswick , Canada
Great service on a short-term rental from Michael Bauer.
Great selection and great staff. Sometimes feels like they can be understaffed but other then that great experience every time
Great service great price
Helpful staff super knowledgeable. Very well laid out store.
Does not answer emails. Does not make the effort to communicate. Since MAY. Clearly has no interest in helping people with limited funds find solutions.
I paid for something on finance putting down a deposit of several hundred dollars and filled out an entire contract only to be given a half empty reason I could only finance the tax, AFTER everything had been agreed to. The excuse was apparently a made-up policy as I researched on the website and referenced several people who have been to the store. It’s a real shame my first experience trying to buy music equipment and I won’t be back.
Customer service was non-existent. Upon arriving, I…
-tried out 6-8 Taylor Guitars
-looked at guitar accessories
-checked out brass instruments
Employees seemed interested in talking to each other as they didn’t say a word to me or anyone else around… not even an acknowledgement.
As a visitor to the province, we travelled an hour to check out a couple of places in Saint John… one of them being this store just to check out the selection of guitars.
5. Pianopro
Address: 1099 Rue Principale, Beresford, NB E8K 1G8, Canada , Villapark , New Brunswick , Canada
Buying gifts for the professional musician in the family was quick and easy with the help of a Pianopro staffer’s recommendations. Our musician loved everything chosen.
love it good product and service
The manager very pleasant and helpful.
6. Tony’s Music Box Ltd
Address: 396 Queen St, Fredericton, NB E3B 1B2, Canada , Villapark , New Brunswick , Canada
Most knowledgable music people around. Impeccable service and bend over backward for solutions ! Have a fantastic supply of Instruments for all.
Thank you Mike for taking the time to walk me through the options.
Very good the selection of Stratocasters and telecators were very limited. However the shop keep said they were having difficulties getting them in. Very nice friendly staff members.
Helping staff. Not a wide range of working hours.
Great local music store with knowledgeable and friendly employees
Not a very good selection on acoustic guitars. Service was ok but not outstanding…however they are willing to make deals unlike long and mcquade
Well…I go in there the other day…haven’t been in there in a long time…I pick up a expensive guitar, didnt play it …and there is a yellow piece of paper on it with a date..the guy that was working there..says please dont handle everything in the store..he was very rude to me …so I said you just lost my business…and walked out ! You better tell your staff how to speak to people!!
They should focus on music considering the masks and hand sanitizer do little to nothing, they’ve forgotten how to respect people and have become the covid cult like most big businesses.
7. Los Cabos Drumsticks
Address: 29 Millennium Dr, Hanwell, NB E3B 2N9, Canada , Villapark , New Brunswick , Canada
Los Cabos Drumsticks are the best sticks ever. They are very strong and they last for a very long time! I will never use something else!
I’ve been using Los Cabos Drumsticks for 3.5 years now, and love them! I was drawn to them for their philanthropic work in funding breast cancer research. I’m a breast cancer survivor, so that said a lot about the company to me! I love using the pink sticks; not only do they look good, but they are also far more durable than most sticks I’ve used in my 30+ career in drumming. Los Cabos has also been an amazing supporter of our nonprofit, Breast Cancer Can Stick It!. I would recommend Los Cabos Drumsticks to any drummer – wonderful people, wonderful product.
I’ve tried many brands on the market, and as soon as I had a pair of Los Cabos Drumsticks in my hands I knew I had found something special. These sticks were a game changer – the weight, size, and feel are like nothing else – not to mention the durability.
They offer white and red hickory as well as maple…something for everyone…so do yourself a favor and pick up a pair….you’ll see what all the fuss is about.
8. Long & McQuade Musical Instruments
Address: 981 Prospect St, Fredericton, NB E3B 2T7, Canada , Villapark , New Brunswick , Canada
Very knowledgeable and great assistance with all issues..
I am new to the guitar and just made the jump from acoustic to electric. The staff here were super helpful and friendly. They don’t make you feel stupid when asking questions unlike some other placed in town. They answered all my questions and helped me get started with a great Epiphone Les Paul, an Amp, and all the accessories to get me going.
After I hit a wall teaching myself to play I started taking lessons with Liam once a week. He’s been great to work with and the price is excellent. Being 37 years old, I was alittle hesitant about taking lessons at first but after 3 lessons am very happy with the way its going so far.
Walked in to L&M as a complete rookie to music with the goal of purchasing a guitar found on their website. Was looking at a more expensive model originally but after speaking with a very helpful sales associate was directed to a less costly model that was not only a better instrument for me overall but they took the time to show me why it was.
Walked out well equipped for a great price. Another staff member has assisted me well twice since the purchase with technical issues that I could not figure out myself – no charge for either adjustment and within minutes of me walking in to their store. Can’t say anything but good things about the folks at Long and McQuade in Fredericton NB!
Good covid procedures. Store is great staff helpful. Wish they carried more of their online stock in store, they seem to be out of a lot of things
You can buy instruments, take music lessons, and rent out equipment all in one place.
My first time at the Fredricton Long and McQuade. Very organized and some really cool inventory I don’t see often . A Dr. Z amp, and timpani??? Awesome!
The staff were really great also.
Definitely will be making a return visit.
Staff are very friendly and quick to help as soon as you walk in the door, however this is the third year in a row I have tried to rent equipment from L&M for an event, and the third year that I was either sent off without everything I had ordered, or pieces of the equipment were not working. Very inconvenient and I will be renting from somewhere else next year.
I go into this store frequently hoping to see something good. Their left handed stock is comprised of 1 cheap simon and patrick acoustic that has the same strings it had when I first moved here a year ago, and some combination of a cheap bullet strat, classic vibe telecaster, cheap epiphone sg, and one time they had a MIM fender strat. I shouldn’t get excited to see one MIM strat when I walk into a music store. Their selection of picks is very limited and strings are a bit pricey. I don’t know if I’ve ever spent money in this store even though I check at least weekly trying to.
9. Sunrise Records
Address: 477 Paul St, Dieppe, NB E1A 1Y2, Canada , Villapark , New Brunswick , Canada
I love this store. They have the best selection of records and cd’s. The staff is very friendly and helpful!!!
Im glad I stopped by here cause they had the exact album I was looking for at an amazing price! Well worth the trip!!
Helpful staff have great selection
If you like movies, music and movie/based games this is the place for you
Great store
Staff dont know much about great artists but still a lot of good lp in stock
It can be a good place to get some cds, though the section is unorganized for vinyl, and the selection is mediocre. Records from here tend to have skips due to the way the boxes are set up which will often warp them, and the prices vary from good to overpriced compared to local stores. Their music dvd shelf was falling apart too and the staff tends to stare at you awkwardly depending on who’s there. Honestly i would recommend other places more, but they’ve got some worthwhile things.
Went inside yesterday with my fiance and he didn’t notice the little bottle of sanitizer in the front of the store. The employee started walking towards us with an aggressive tone to tell us we need to use the sanitizer. Of course, we don’t mind someone reminding us, but the way he was coming off was aggressive and too violent for our taste. We will not be coming back.
I only found one of the titles I was looking at, at above new release pricing, and was ignored by staff as I browsed every section during the visit.
