Enjoyed the experience of selecting and buying a guitar for my son! The selection of musical instruments is breathtaking!
Got my stuff and left.
Great knowledgeable staff. Fantastic deals
Service is much better than before, so give four stars now.
bad service, paid deposit for two weeks but no any update. when called them, seemed impatient and hanged up the phone with big bang. very disappointed.
Worst customer service in the world. The front desk person is absolutely careless about what you say. The so called “guitar tech” is very rude and ignorant . If you have a guitar to repair or set up, take it somewhere else, as this place is way overpriced on top of incompetent staff. In other words – stay away, spend your money elsewhere.
only music shop in moncton. Doesn’t matter if you’re any good when you buy out the competition and corner the market.
Unfortunately the service in the drum section seems to have become worse here over the years. When we bought cymbals a few years ago, the staff was ok. The past 2 years we didn’t experience them as very friendly and today we were even told we couldn’t use a cymbal stand to try the cymbals but to simply hit them while hanging on the wall mount – which totally distorts the sound from what they sound like on a stand. We left without buying anything.

For a new guitar player, the staff are super welcoming and love to help you find exactly what you need, not what’s best for their numbers. Having new strings will be awesome and they did an excellent job with it!
Very knowledgeable and great assistance with all issues..
Took my mint SG in to get setup professionally which was in mint shape. While it was being worked on it was accidently dropped or banged whatever happened.
I was contacted with “good and bad news”. At the end of the day they made it right with replacing the guitar with a new one off the shelf same model.
Were all human, it will more than likely be a write off for the company I’m guessing, I don’t knock the member who worked on it, as I’m sure it was an accident and I’m sure he probably beat himself up enough.
At the end of the day they made it right, and I was happy. They were friendly, knowledgable and helpful.
Hopefully this never happens to anyone else. And maybe the workspace could be improved in some way to prevent this from happening in the future.
5/5 for being honest, helpful, and having integrity.
Very clean, respectful and knowledgeable staff when I visited.
My first time at the Fredricton Long and McQuade. Very organized and some really cool inventory I don’t see often . A Dr. Z amp, and timpani??? Awesome!
The staff were really great also.
Definitely will be making a return visit.
Good covid procedures. Store is great staff helpful. Wish they carried more of their online stock in store, they seem to be out of a lot of things
Staff are very friendly and quick to help as soon as you walk in the door, however this is the third year in a row I have tried to rent equipment from L&M for an event, and the third year that I was either sent off without everything I had ordered, or pieces of the equipment were not working. Very inconvenient and I will be renting from somewhere else next year.
I go into this store frequently hoping to see something good. Their left handed stock is comprised of 1 cheap simon and patrick acoustic that has the same strings it had when I first moved here a year ago, and some combination of a cheap bullet strat, classic vibe telecaster, cheap epiphone sg, and one time they had a MIM fender strat. I shouldn’t get excited to see one MIM strat when I walk into a music store. Their selection of picks is very limited and strings are a bit pricey. I don’t know if I’ve ever spent money in this store even though I check at least weekly trying to.

Absolutely love this location! Awesome staff and great selection of musical goodness for everyone 🙂
Great friendly customer service, would recommend!
Courteous, knowledgeable staff who consistently provide top tier customer service.
Helpful staff super knowledgeable. Very well laid out store.
I paid for something on finance putting down a deposit of several hundred dollars and filled out an entire contract only to be given a half empty reason I could only finance the tax, AFTER everything had been agreed to. The excuse was apparently a made-up policy as I researched on the website and referenced several people who have been to the store. It’s a real shame my first experience trying to buy music equipment and I won’t be back.
Customer service was non-existent. Upon arriving, I…
-tried out 6-8 Taylor Guitars
-looked at guitar accessories
-checked out brass instruments
Employees seemed interested in talking to each other as they didn’t say a word to me or anyone else around… not even an acknowledgement.
As a visitor to the province, we travelled an hour to check out a couple of places in Saint John… one of them being this store just to check out the selection of guitars.
Does not answer emails. Does not make the effort to communicate. Since MAY. Clearly has no interest in helping people with limited funds find solutions.

Always friendly is an understatement. Zero pressure to buy anything and will always try to help find a solution that works for you. Even if that means recommending something not in the store.
Amazing staff. Very attentive to help. Friendly environment. Couldn’t say enough positive things about this business.
Great service, great selections! Their staff go above and beyond to give the best possible experience.
Great people. I was given the impression that they are experienced yet zen in the wisdom of musical instruments. I bought a bhodran drum and a harmonica, and will probably pick up a violin or real-sounding piano (I don’t like my hollow sounding keyboard.) It would be cool to find a variety of woodwinds, but I understand they are notoriously expensive and heavily specialized compared to your mainstream guitar, piano, or tambourine. All around great atmosphere, but the jelly rug kind of discomforts my feet at the door.
This is the place to go for instruments in Fredericton. Their staff is incredible and will help find what’s right for you.
The only place I would buy my clarinetreids
Well…I go in there the other day…haven’t been in there in a long time…I pick up a expensive guitar, didnt play it …and there is a yellow piece of paper on it with a date..the guy that was working there..says please dont handle everything in the store..he was very rude to me …so I said you just lost my business…and walked out ! You better tell your staff how to speak to people!!
Not a very good selection on acoustic guitars. Service was ok but not outstanding…however they are willing to make deals unlike long and mcquade
They should focus on music considering the masks and hand sanitizer do little to nothing, they’ve forgotten how to respect people and have become the covid cult like most big businesses.
