Quite a good place and I got my keyboard on time 🙂
Decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of playing drums. This music store helped me do just that. They were most helpful in getting me started and helped me pick the drum set just right for me. Thanks again for bringing music back into my life.
All You Need Music were great to deal with, very helpful and well informed when I purchased my Yamaha DTX6K3 Electronic Drums last year! I love them and they made the transition from my acoustic set to the electric kit so easy!! Thankyou so much to the wonderful staff at AYNM..!
Good selection in store, nicely presented. The online resource is excellent. They will price-match on any advertised price. If they don’t have an item in stock or online, they will get it for you. Nice store, nice people.
Purchased a drum set a few years back from them Needed some replacement parts for the foot pedal and a snare drum this year. My son loves the drum set and they were quick and efficient in getting us the parts over the Christmas holidays. Great job!
Helpful friendly and average prices
DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!! I ordered a drumkit and I was emailed back by Assistant Manager Wendy Raymond that ‘the Pacific Drum kit you ordered has been discontinued and replaced. The pricing for the new set they have replaced it with is $1187.49 plus taxes. (over $200.00 more then the kit I ordered)’. Seeing that it had been out of production for over a year at this time, I found it odd that they hadn’t realized this before and taken the kit off their website and pointed this out. I was given a company line MRSP’s and difficulty updating their website, but nothing else.
I offered to pay the $949.99 for the replacement kit. I knew this wouldn’t work, but I wanted to see if they would offer any comparable kits for the money I had paid instead of pushing the upgrade. They had multiple kits listed for $999.99, and I hoped they would offer one and take the $50 hit for the inconvenience. Once again, I was told about MRSP’s and offered nothing except the ‘upgrade’ Having seen a bait and switch before, I cancelled my order and told them I was upset with their customer service and wanted to talk to a supervisor. Wendy Raymond refused to give me her supervisors contact info despite me asking for it four seperate times, then, after my final request, she claimed she was the store manager. She never explained why her emails identified her as an assistant manager while she claimed she was the store manager, nor did she answer or eve address any of my concerns.
I’ve never had less professional customer service, and would recommend anyone to avoid this store!!
Went in for a speaker cable for my guitar amp. I was told matter of factly that a 1/4″ guitar cable was all I need. 100% wrong and would cause serious damage to any amp that it was used with. Not a place I would visit if you don’t know what you are doing.
DO NOT BUY ONLINE! I wish I had read reviews before placing an order. All the horror stories are true. Item you order is not in stock, similar items out of stock, offering “upgrades” without any discount for inconvenience. Currently stuck waiting an indeterminate amount of time for my item. Terrible practices and customers are treated as disposable. If you don’t like it, they offer to cancel your order and carry on like nothing happened. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
I’ve been to other music stores and never felt so cared for or better helped! Extremely friendly and knowledgable team, would go to these guys over the big name stores any day.
outstanding service and friendly staff
I just made my second major purchase from The Arts and from the first phone call I was treated with respect, knowledgeable staff and prompt service. Julian and Rick went above and beyond to make my experience an extremely enjoyable one! I will return to their store very soon to add some accessories to my newest addition. Thank you!
Great store for music, the staff are friendly and helpful.
I only ever order from these guys online, but their service is top notch. I’ve never had an issue. They ship promptly and my stuff has always arrived well packaged and on time.
Great music store in York region! Basically the ONLY one in Aurora/Newmarket however they are very helpful and have everything you need and knowledgeable staff who actually play instruments!
Manager was very rude lost a sale ill take my business elsewhere !! I was there to purchase a guitar for my sons birthday and you kicked me out even after my son explained i had medical issues and was there on crutches pretty cruel you can say whatever you want ill go elsewhere !!
Can you get arrested for not wearing a mask NO YOU CANT its not LAW !!
6′ rule of any retail is just to say Hi. Didn’t even get that. I was in the store today for close to ten minutes and not a peep. One staff member was busy talking about it seems, a radio station or band and doing something in the acoustic room. The other employee was sitting at the front desk tuning a mandolin and was more concerned with that. I get it that you want to let the customer look around and all but a little kindness goes a long way. I prefer to support the independent business but if that’s how I’m treated, I can go elsewhere. Some prices were great and in my range but I can’t be bothered if you can’t even say hello.
Good store, have bought a guitar during the lockdown, curbside, great service on that occasion.
Visited store today, not such a lovely experience, young man cashing us out was cocky, I bought a guitar strap & asked for a bag, which I feel he should have had the courtesy to put my purchase in anyways….he seemed almost reluctant . Couple other gentleman at the cash also staring blankly at me, I didn’t feel a friendly vibe. Oh well. Customer service is a hit & miss I guess.
3. L.A. Music Store Canada
Address: 230 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga, ON L5G 1G9 TEXT#647-0026, 360, Canada , Skatepark , Ontario , Canada
I bought a five string left hand bass from LA music. Staff are very friendly. I called Sam quite a number of times through my hesitations to buy or not to buy and he has been very pleasant every time. I finally decided on what I wanted and I got the product I wanted. I needed adjustment to the action which they took care of promptly. I recommend LA Music to anyone.
Absolutely outstanding service and a pleasure to deal with. No pressure sales, friendly and great communication.
I have made Multiple Guitar, Bass & Accessory purchases from L.A. Music Store Canada. Their Products, Prices, Shipping & Customer Service Representatives are the Absolute Best!!

The products they sell are very good, as are the prices, but they don’t answer their email. Also, they don’t keep their shipping commitments, and don’t explain the reason for the delay.
Summer hour is ridiculous, traveled all the way here and they are closed. Understand why people want to work less in the summer, though.
Keep in mind that If you are planning a buy a guitar from here, they have a no touch/play policy. Other than that, the staff were helpful
My name is Jason and I implore the owner of LA Music to locate the credit card number that we need to be reimbursed a $200 down payment. I used a prepaid one time only credit card to put a down-payment on a guitar. I got rid of that credit card not intending to use it anymore. Without my knowledge Sam at LA Music reimbursed my $200 on that one-time-only credit card that doesn’t exist anymore. The credit card company explained that they no longer have the number and that LA Music would have it at the store. Sam at LA Music has not done any research to find it. I beg the owner of LA Music Mario Piperni to please help me.
Bad sales tactics, I did my research before going to their store and I knew what I wanted to buy but the sales rep was constantly trying to push me to buy something else. The return policy gives only 7 days to return, now I’m stuck with their recommended product forever which I don’t even like .
These guys are horrible. They have been known to rip people off and i know a lot of people who have been ripped off. I know too many horrible stories of how they over charge on repairs, disrespect customers and don’t care about you unless you’re spending thousands of dollars. Stay away from them, i don’t even buy strings there anymore
4. Cosmo Music – The Musical Instrument Superstore!

Hugh music place to find your perfect instrument, outstanding customer service at the guitar shop, I recommend.
Awesome staff, very professional and savy.
Prices and variety are great, as well as their services around products. I buy in person and online, I would recommend this store over any other place hands down.
Thanks Cosmo!
Some staffs (perhaps 1 ot 2) are not very kind. Generally, people are very supportive and nice.
Friendly staff. Always their to assist. Conveniently located.
Thank you to director of teaching for kids she took the time to explain the necessary informations we needed ,
Traveled 30+km just to test some guitars, which are according to their site, are in stock, but they told me they are not available. I felt they were just lazy to bring out the guitars from the storage.
My latest Cosmo online purchasing experience was the worst I have ever experienced. I used to think so highly of this company and recommended them. Not any longer. What happened?
Their prices reflect the rent they pay and there wasn’t much to choose from
5. Steve’s Music Store
Address: 415 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M5V 2A5, Canada , Skatepark , Ontario , Canada
Always have what I need and their customer service is something to model after. Never pushy or after the sale, rather they want you to have the right solution to whatever you’ve come in to do.
The best in anything music
If the music they’re playing does not cause you to have a psychotic break you might just find that axe you’ve been looking for.
Still one of the best after all these years. Strength is the amount of inventory and the wife rejection. Decent prices too.
A bit scattered getting guitars checked in, but guitar tech Lenton was able to do rush service – what a life-saver.
Sales reps here are kinda snooty. Been to many musical instruments shops – sales reps are generally welcoming and helpful. Not here though.
Only store I’ve ever been where their commission-based salesperson (in guitars) made me wait over 30 minutes to buy an amp. (Just to buy, I didn’t even need to try it out.) Then when I went to find someone else to help me, the original salesperson came back and yelled at me.
I’ve been going to Steve’s music since I was a teenager. But unfortunately it’s really gone down hill. The staff is really rude. I brought my guitar in for tune up, it cost me $150… I got home to discover the guy broke my tone knob and it was permanently on. Even at checkout, they were swearing about their colleagues and visibly frustrated that I was trying to purchase something. It’s real bummer, Steve’s has been so significant to the music community in Toronto.
Expensive.
6. MURPHY’S MUSIC
Address: 6011 Thorold Stone Rd, Niagara Falls, ON L2J 1A4, Canada , Skatepark , Ontario , Canada
Murphy brothers are very knowledgeable and super friendly. Bought a couple guitars from them, had some repairs done , bought some accessories..Been in a few times and it is always a good experience
Good merchandise, staff informed & knowledgeable & friendly. Good music lessons.
Mark and James are great! Always willing to help. They have everything you need in the store, if they don’t, they will get it. Great experiences, every time I have gone in.
Bought a lefty acoustic epiphone DR100 here and apon bringing it home the frets are rather rough. Tried to polish the feetboard with lemon oil and while losing the string my high E snapped. (Only loosened it a little) apon restringing the first fret to the 4th on the guitar made the exact same note on every string and i somehow managed to fix it barely. This is literally a new guitar that i bought with my girlfriend tuesday march 13th in the afternoon. The person working (im assuming the owner) is super nice and im sure he would do a swap out for a guitar thats 30 dollars more expensive and id pay the difference. If not im sure he’d smooth out my fretboard. So it doesnt feel like sandpaper when i bend. They are nice people here im sure its just a common mistake, they seem like the folks who would make it right
If you’re a woodwind player buying reeds here, double check what you’ve been handed before purchasing. Asked for an alto sax reed, and the guy behind the counter sold me a clarinet reed.
Good prices. Friendly, knowledgeable
Sadly not a pet friendly store.
My experience was extremely unwelcoming and rude. The owner treated me like a thief by asking me to leave my back pack at the front of the store while I shopped. It was particularly insulting because I had already purchased several guitars from these people in the past, and had service done on an instrument. I gladly took the wad of hundred dollar bills I had on me (having just came from the bank ready to purchase a guitar) and left. There are other musical instrument retailers in the region with much better service, online ordering, repair shops, etc. I find the quality of guitars here to be lacking as well ( mostly knock off brands, or non-american made “fenders”).
They do sell come quality equipment but every time I enter the store I get next to no acknowledgment and when asking about a bass they did not have I had a much cheaper and lesser instrument pushed on me.
I’ve been in and out of this store over twenty years, everytime I come back and give it a chance I’m quickly reminded why I spend my money elsewhere.
I really hate to say it but I’ve recieved other worldly service at Long and McQuade.
The best park I’ve ever been to. probably some of the best staff you’ll ever see there they know what they are doing and are really cool. the place is huge and offers a lot of room to learn and improve
The most off the wall skate park ever! They have party rooms equipped with video games and privacy. Park is well maintained , a store for scooter, skateboard and bike needs. They also sell minor food product such as snacks, drinks and pizza slices, etc. Safety is encouraged and there is a tier for parents/guardians to sit and view children.
Our 10 year old son has been skating at CJ’s for over 3 years. We have watched our son steadily improve through the guidance and support of CJ’s team. It’s amazing to watch how genuinely excited the instructors get when a skater achieves a new skill. The CJ’s team provides an inviting and positive experience for all ages and skill levels. The facility itself is excellent and patron safety is top priority.
Another incredible benefit to the CJ’s experience is the close friendships our son has developed with fellow skaters.
We are so happy we found a sport that our son enjoys and that CJ’s is our perfect-match park to nurture our son’s love of skateboarding!
It is a great place good and cormfotadle for scooter and skateboards I love how there is no BMX so I always fell safe I big half pipe is horrible the copping sticks out and I broke my ankle on it plus the pump track no one uses it and it is a just in the way it would make more sense to just put a resi there mush less dangerous and would increase profits if you installed a resi because not that inflow skate park is close the closest resi to the GTA is all in which is a 2 to 3 hour drive.
Great park. Some staff, meh. Not that helpful.
Nice employees generally good place to skate for the kids.
Don’t like going into this shop only to be treated like a leper, because of my inability to don the mask.
I’m making people uncomfortable!? How dare you belittle me for having an illness! You people make me sick!
Skateboarding is about unity not segregation.
Pretty upset at the fact that I called on Good Friday around 5pm to see if they were open, the fellow on the phone said they are open regular hours I asked him 4pm-10pm he said yes. I drove 30mins from my house and when I arrived no one was there I called again around 6:30pm and no answer. Terrible customer service.
Hidden Gem of Ottawa! Great selection of gear! Staff is awesome and knows their stuff! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Good selection of new and used instruments, fair prices aswell.
Friendly staff, neat gear. Never know what’ll be on the walls or in the pedal cabinet. You can bet they’ll have a few gems and some of the best technicians in the city!
Always interesting.
Small and quaint. Nice place to jam out while trying the guitars.
I am certainly not in the ‘scene’. Just an old guy starting with his first guitar, but I thought the place was great! I couldn’t imagine going to a big fancy chain store in a mall with all new instruments. I got great help to pick out a semi-beginner guitar. I got enough advice to not buy crap that was not easily resold, but not to overspend on an expensive guitar until I was sure I was into it. (My guitar teacher was impressed with my guitar and the good price I paid for it) What I liked was that I was talking to real musicians and NOT pressure salesmen. I was free to goof around with instruments as much as I wanted without pressure. I would highly recommend the store.
Staff seems more interested in talking amongst themselves than helping customers. As for amp purchases ther -buyer beware.
Really over priced to get a guitar restrung…and it wasn’t tuned.
Not very friendly, we knew more about the product than the employee, unwilling to negotiate. All an all unpleasant experience, wouldn’t recommend going here.
I was looking for a very specific guitar and Gear Music shows it in stock on their web site. I emailed on a Friday evening and to my surprise actually got a response that same evening. Through the course of Saturday they confirmed what I was looking for was in stock, opened up a boxed guitar and sent me pictures, and had their technician confirm the guitar was in perfect working order. On Monday I completed the transaction and the item shipped, and it was delivered very quickly.
Ordering a guitar and having it shipped to another province without ever actually having played it was a bit of a strange situation for me, but huge thanks to Scott and Dave for being kind and very helpful. I’m very pleased with my purchase and I’m extremely pleased with the interaction – I highly recommend this company.
A good vibe and a music store that they are willing to try help you out or give a good advice .
Amazing customer service. Very professional. I highly recommend gear music. Thanks again Scott!
不错,比较多
Pros:
-Were able to get 2 of my guitars in for set ups/intonation adjustments last minute and had them done same day.
-The intonation is a TON better now
-The new strings recommended to me play beautifully
-Large selection of instruments and equipment
-knowledgeable staff
-Good Location, conveniently located.
Cons:
-Staff both times entering the store seemed less than delighted I walked in and initially seemed unpleasant. The first gentlemen I dealt with ended up being a little warmer as we conversed a bit. The second gentleman I dealt with, when I went pick up my guitars; had a “hurry up and pay then leave” kind of demeanor. Maybe I’m just being picky but with a boutique shop and my first time in there I was hoping for really good service.
-My guitars came back with light scratches/marks on the body. My strat being a lot older I didn’t think anything of it. But my SG is a natural finish guitar and I’ve played it all of 3 times (it’s practically brand new). The marks look like they may have been from restringing the guitar and letting the strings rub around on the body or something.. There is also a spot just below the bridge pickups where it looks like something oily was set on it. I’m a little sad about it and there’s not much that can be done now, just feel like maybe the best care for my instruments wasn’t exercised in the process.
I’ve got another 6 guitars I’d like to have routine maintenance done on. Not sure i’ll bring them here now unfortunately. 🙁
Hey do you have Indian bamboo? Natural C
10. MusicM Inc.
Address: 7035 Maxwell Rd unit 8, Mississauga, ON L5S 1R5, Canada , Skatepark , Ontario , Canada
very good store. I bought my saxophone from there. when i started playing, it sounded off, we thought it was broken. we brought it to another store and they told us it costed 500$ to repair, but when we brought it to musicm, they told us that i just wasn’t playing it right, they even taught me how to blow properly. one time i dropped my sax, and we brought it to the store. they fixed it for free, and even cleaned it, and they didn’t even care that it was dropped
MusicM is a great place to find low cost student instruments. They are much more affordable than the big national chain.
Okay
Got a very good piano here. Customer friendly staff. Respond to all requests on time. Will recommend and possibly visit again to buy a CVP digital piano
very bad service
DONT BUY FROM HERE!!!
This store is just Chinese counterfeit guitars, pianos and other instruments. They are not even decent quality counterfeits either. I stopped in here for strings as it was the closest store to me on Google. He had one old pack of cheap Chinese strings and told me they were top quality. I took a look at the guitars, and then I realized why this place is in an industrial complex with the instruments hidden in the back room out of view.
Don’t buy this stuff! They will tell you they are refurbished or on consignment and don’t know the origin, so he doesn’t get in trouble. If he knew anything at all about them, he would know they were fake. All of them, not just a couple. It’s obviously a lie. They are terrible quality, and you’re better off buying an inexpensive model from a well-known brand at a reputable store where you’ll get quality products and a warranty. When this place eventually gets shut down, you don’t want to be left with an instrument that no store will work on if anything happens. If youve ever bought a Gibson guitar, Yamaha Piano or whatever else, you were scammed. It is 100% fake, not refurbished or being sold on consignment.
Like an expensive japan surplus store. Used Items with open box prices
Been a customer for years (first guitar bought in 2009), had guitar lessons here as well. Fantastic service, great prices.. Honestly could not ask for a more knowledgeable owner! I will never shop elsewhere for my musical needs!
Best shop
Fantastic customer service. I went to Rainbow Music this morning and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The prices were great, and the service was even better! The owner, Gilles, was super friendly and clearly very knowledgable. It is nice to see someone enjoy what they do so much. I will definitely be coming back!
What a great little store.
Excellent selection.
Prices are very fair, and you know you are getting a quality product
Another over priced Music store in Cornwall way cheaper to go out of town he sells wireless mics for $100 more then what long & Mcquade charges
Okay, more like NOkay
Owner was extremely rude and told me to leave because he asked me where I can find a cheaper guitar I said amazon lol. Place is dingy dogs running around and you have to knock on the front door to be let in. Products are way cheaper at melody music and staff there are friendly and very knowledgable.
