Great addition to PEC and Wellington. I seem to find something every time I visit. Prices are good and W is great to answer questions. Very welcoming space and I will visit again for sure.
Nice nice nice nice
Such a fun outing!
Just outside Wellington, on a lovely rural property, it’s a perfect stop on a PEC Saturday.
.
It’s probably also a great place to stop in on a Sunday, but I can’t speak to that specifically.
I picked up a really great T-shirt too. Folks keep asking me where it’s from and what is this cool record store. How about that?!
We had two projects in our home, a fireplace surround and front entrance door interior trim, and hired Ed for this work after learning about his qualifications. He made the door trim, part of it curved, from pine and stained it to perfectly match the color of the mahogany door and frame. Around the fireplace the wall and floor were not flat, level nor square so Ed used a scribe fitting technique. The fit between the wall and the surround is absolutely perfect just like the Inca stone work, you cannot fit even a needle between the two after it was installed! Thanks Ed for designing and engineering these projects so well and for building them just as we had envisioned it!
Werner
We recently had Ed design and build us a custom fireplace mantle with matching bookcases on either side. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Ed is a very talented woodworker (and former engineer) with impressive attention to detail and a wonderful sense of design. Thanks so much, Ed.
6. Long & McQuade Musical Instruments
Address: 28 Roy Blvd, Belleville, ON K8N 0L9, Canada , Prince Edward , Ontario , Canada
Staff was very helpful and didn’t charge for small work done. Paid just the parts and very thoughtful work done excellent
I have used Long and McQ stores since 1970’s when I bought my first guitar. Yesterday in the Belleville store, Johnathan was exemplary in his service. I was frustrated with my Guild and was ready to sell it. He recommended a different kind of strings which really solved the issues. I am very grateful. I am keeping my beautiful Guild M-120 and inspired to play.
Always the best service.
Music is essential. Please open your doors for creative people. Money in my pocket is burning a hole and wants to shop in your store. Please Open the doors and let the people create tomorrow’s music today. Unless you’d like us to shop elsewhere. I love Long and McQuade. I bought this $4000+ guitar prior to Store lockdowns. My money can be easily spent elsewhere.
Number one music shop in the country, I rented equipment many years ago from Sparling Maurice on Wilson ave. in Toronto After they were bought out by Long & McQuade they continued the operation with great service and prices
This review is incomplete, as they still have not fulfilled my order made 2 months ago. With an order almost $400.00 for drum heads and tuning lug accessories. I have received 85% of my order, but as the young lady promised a delivery date of July 20, 2017. It was not only a wrong date she gave me, but she requires customer service training. She did however tell me she was having a bad day.
2 weeks ago I enquired again and this time the manager would look into it and email me. He did email me with an approx. delivery date of Aug 22. On top of this, they have $100.00 to secure this order which is disturbing noting the length of time they have had my money and nothing to show for it.
My father owned a well respected Music Store in this city from 1958 until 2004 and my father use to deal directly with Jack Long in the 1970’s. If Jack was to understand some of these logistic problems and some staff who require training….he would be onto it. I remember meeting Jack for the first time when I was 12 years old.
Edited from 2 to 4 star. The manager of the store took care of business. Both by keeping me up to date by email and dealing with me personally. The manager of this location is your saving grace! Nice guy and personable. Mostly though, understands customer service and reacts positively when he sees someone frustrated.
Well I have perchest lighting and sound equipment in the past and I went in yesterday to buy a used star burst and the Sales man said nothing wrong with it. i asked him to plug it in again this time infrot of me and the indikators key only partly lit up.i think maybe a little training would go along way and not sell broken equipment
Bought a beginners saxophone for my kids as an early Christmas gift. They got to open an empty case!!! Manager promised an overnight replacement via FedEx. Its been 5 days and nothing yet. Today the manager Kevin says it’s out of his control once it’s “en-route”. We will NEVER spend money at Long & McQuaid again!! Avoid this place! Buy from a locally owned shop that cares about customers.
Had some small work needed, just the nut on the jack on my semi-hollowbody came loose so fell inside. They said they would fix it free of charge that day and if they couldnt get it by the end of the day they would send it off to their guitar guy, which would cost around $20. When I pick it up the charge is $60. Definitely going to a small music shop next time, don’t need to go back
7. Ardens Music
Address: 23 College St W, Belleville, ON K8P 2G3, Canada , Prince Edward , Ontario , Canada
A music store that makes you feel at home. No rush, super informative, great service all around. I love my Martin I got from here and can’t express my gratitude enough for the helpful team behind making my purchase
Excellent service from the Belleville store. Helped a beginner get knowledgeable on electric guitars.
The staff at Arden’s were so helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond…
Helpful staff, let me bring in guitar pedals not purchased at their location to ensure the AC adapter I was buying would work.
Great service and lessons but they have a small selection of guitars that only consist of fender,Ibanez and beaver creek
I purchased my first guitar here. I went To buy my second one and dealt with the owner. I found him to be exceedingly rude and totally insensitive. I would not buy anything from Ardens. I have since bought 3 more guitars and two amps. All from other locations.
Not a lot of selection in items
A fairly sad music shop – they’ve always seemed to just display ‘my first one’ level of instruments. The cheap brands. I’m sure they can order in the good stuff, but what’s the use if you can’t play it in-house before buying?
8. Ardens Music
Address: 51 Quinte St, Trenton, ON K8V 3S8, Canada , Prince Edward , Ontario , Canada
Excellent service!
Awesome communication!
Best guitar shop we’ve dealt with.
Had a guitar on order from another shop for over 9 months. Item kept getting delayed. Took a chance a messaged Arden’s. Received a reply instantly. Drove the hour to pick up and are now the proud owners of a new Ibanez Artcore.
Worth the drive for all our music needs. Will definately be a repeat customer.
Big shout out to Taylor for his excellent service and great communication!!
Ardens is, hands down, the best music shop in Trenton. The people who run the shop are incredibly friendly and know their stuff.
The quality of their service work is also excellent. I dropped off an older bass for setup and cleaning, and can say that it came back in better condition than when I bought it new.
Their on-site music lessons are also a stellar service. Individual, enclosed rooms for private instruction, and knowledgeable, patient teachers are a great combination.
I really cannot recommend this place enough.
Awesome lesson program with teachers and store staff that really care about the students. Awesome!
Great place
terrible selection of brands / guitars. but the staff are very helpful and friendly
Jason always has time for his students and customers. Multiple disciplines, quite the talented man. Music is a must in Quinte West, and this is the place to get your instruction and instruments. Thx Jason.
Great place for instruction, instruments, and community.
Limited selection, but a good place for beginners
12. Marie’s Place
Address: 62 Dundas St W, Napanee, ON K7R 1Z6, Canada , Prince Edward , Ontario , Canada
From Montreal to Napanee is roughly 330km, went to the store and got a nice Eastman guitar and Dale was real cool and friendly, will hopefully do business with him again when I need some rare guitars.
Price are great and nice stuff all around.
Cheers
Like a candy store for guitars. Love it!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Store offers a wide range of instruments you dont see in big chain stores. Check them out.
The owner is just a chill dude who likes music and instruments he’s very friendly and will make sure that you get good service. If your looking for a little local charm or something you won’t find at long and mcquade this is your place!
Great place in Napanee to shop and talk music!
Guy was helpful and kind to a new bassist. Has some interesting equipment.
I am very disappointed in this store. Over the past 6 weeks (3 times) I had been calling and going in this store to purchase a very basic item. They never had it. I had put the product under my name and when I went to pick it up, they had sold it. Very poor customer loyalty/relationship. The next day I went to another music store where they immediately handed me the item. I wasted a lot of time giving this place a chance. 🙁
I got a great guitar but no one showed up for my lessons FIVE TIMES!! Duffy just walked out on them and moved to vancouver and Dale got the dates mixed up three and then their most reacent guy was absent. I then got Guitar lessons from a family friend for half the price 🙂
13. Sunrise Records
Address: Quinte Mall, 390 N Front St, Belleville, ON K8P 3E1, Canada , Prince Edward , Ontario , Canada
Kind and helpful staff! A surprisingly good selection of vinyl as well! I always enjoy coming to Sunrise to browse and get suggestions.
Love this place for dvd’s they seem to be a dying market
Great place to get records cds movies amazing board games can’t find anywhere else so many different monopoly boards. To bad record stores are hard to find.
No better than the previous store that was there, a good selection if you’re not looking for anything specific
Overpriced
I thought these were gone ….. I was wrong
Called to ask about a vinyl, and the person on the phone was so incredibly condescending and rude. It like they were asking me to not buy anything at their store ever again.
Went in to find merchandise for a game series my partner and I enjoy and upon finding it there was no price tags, so we had gone up to ask and the owner rudely answer, giving my partner and I unneeded attitude as well as treating us like garbage during check out.
Not only that, but somehow the cost of 4 items came out much more than it should’ve been. Somehow HSTON was 8$.
We avoid the place as much as we can and only went in looking for the one specific thing. Definitely not worth the time being treated like that.
Do NOT recommend!
Spent 10 minutes waiting in line today while the assistant was on the phone. No acknowledgement, no apology, so I gave up and left. The same store asked me to leave a few weeks back as the assistant wanted to close the store for lunch! Honestly, what other mall store closes for lunch? And throws out their customers.
Customer service here is really non-existent. Sam’s record store in the same mall is chaotic and poorly laid out but at least they want your business, unlike Sunrise.

Awesome experience! Not very often you see a record store around anymore… My product was in great condition! Definitely worth the drive.
This the best music store on the planet!!!
Great store friendly and helpful staff sadly last Sam the Record Man left hopefully continues on for a while
Last Sam’s
I Was A Long Time Customer Of Sam The Record Man…Spent Thousands & Thousands Of Dollars There Over The Many Many Years I Shopped There…Never Had Any Issues Until Recently Over The Last Month Or Two…The Women That Work At The Belleville Sam The Record Man Are Very Rude & Ignorant People To Customers…I Was A Valued Customer & To Be Teeated With The Disrespect I’ve Gotten From These Women That Work There Is Uncalled For…They Are Rude & Disrespectful Even Over The Phone…I Will Never Shop There Again Til Something Is Done With Thise Women’s Attitudes
Stopped in to show my 11yr old what a vinyl & cd store looked like and how I used to purchase music back in the day. Lots of cool merch and memorabilia.
I hate this store, bought 80 bucks worth of items and they were all crap and broken, called to see what they can do about it and they did F all… This store is the worst and the rudest employes in the world, can’t believe this. Don’t buy anything from there it will be a complete waste of money….. I know I wasted mine on a bunch of broken items…
Horrendous customer service skills, junk products. Not returning back to that store.
this store never fails to disappoint me. The most useless, unhelpful staff I have ever encountered, each visit is as pointless as the last. Never going in here again. Dont care if its a landmark store, at least at Sunrise the staff are nice and helpful. I’d give 0 stars if I could.
18. Pinnacle Music School
Address: 360 Pinnacle St, Belleville, ON K8N 3B4, Canada , Prince Edward , Ontario , Canada
I’ve been taking piano lessons with Janice Fast through Pinnacle Music School for 17 years. So many great memories, such wonderful professionals to learn from!!! Who’d have thought that, in my 50s and 60s, I’d have the experience of learning pieces from a wide range of musical genres, of playing in informal recitals before other “older learners”, and even playing in the non-judged category of a Rotary Music Festival. Pinnacle Music School has added a treasured dimension to my life.
This is a great store with a real small town feel to it, although the items I required were not large ticket items, I received great service. My drum parts were ordered and arrangements made to be able to pick them up. Special thanks to Joe and the rest of the staff for making this a great shopping experience. I will definitely be back.
My daughter has been doing bass lessons here just coming on 2 years now and she absolutely loves it!! Ed Conley has been her instructor for the duration and well, I just don’t think there are any words that are capable of capturing how incredible a teacher this man is. His knowledge, experience and background is outstanding, and his passion for music is inspiring.
Thank you Ed for your dedication and the enthusiasm you bring to every lesson!
Adding an additional con. The following day after this review and the abrasive attack by their social media staff one of their other staff members decided to come after me on their own even though it had nothing to do with them.
Previous: 2 Star
Pros: Won’t fimd a better guitar tech in Belleville than Joe here. Not to mention the selection of sheet music and other instruments is unmatched in the city.
Cons: Limited selection in guitar strings. Staff will ostrasize you for the Facebook comments on questionable video. If it wasn’t for the abbrasive response by their managers for a video this store would be a solid 5 out of 5.
19. Classic Country Music for Seniors by Jay Middleton
Address: 72 Elizabeth, Belleville, ON K8N 1K5, Canada , Prince Edward , Ontario , Canada
We visited this winery somewhat spontaneously to end our small winery tour of Prince Edward County over the Civic Holiday weekend, and out of the half dozen or so wineries we visited this was hands down the most satisfying. The wine tasted great (some really unique wines like the hemp wine) and also one of the few if not the only winery in PEC to produce and sell flavoured vinegar, which were also exquisite. When we arrived we were delightfully greeted by an adorable cat—I assumed belonged to the owner? lol They have a small firewood pizzeria area in the back. Jeff, the actual wine maker and not just some random winery staff, was our “wine tasting guide” and he was not only very knowledgeable but he also had a great sense of humour and was very accomodating to our group of seven. Overall, this winery was very charming and didn’t reek of prentiousness the way the other wineries we visited did. Well done, Black Prince. I only wish for the very best on your future endeavours.
Mackenzie was incredible!! We had such a great time at our wine and vinegar tasting!!
-the vinegar loving bachelorette party
These people are passionate and true to their craft, which is evident through both their enthusiasm and the quality of their products. Definitely try the hemp wine, and the wine vinegar!
Pizza was really great! I got the margarita it was delish. The only disappointment is the price but we can forgive because it is tasty. Also no water or drinks are offered besides wine. Wine was delish though loved the Riesling. Overall Pizza 5 stars, but service 3. 🙂
Great spot to stop and have a glass of wine. If you are hungry they have pizza and really good ice cream.
Great views and great pizza….the wine is pri good too 🙂
The least pet friendly winery in the area, such a shame! average food and wine, wonder what it got it’s relation for?!
Awful experience. Wine was mediocre at best. Tasting was done in plastic cups without even a cursory rinse between wines. Host was unenthusiastic in his presentation, not engaging at all. He also seated another party within 2 feet of our own, without any concern for social distancing. One star only for the vinegar, which is tasty on its own, but served straight with no bread or cracker accompaniment, and bottles ~ $30 for only about 500mL
Great pizza. Interresting wine. Awfull staff… I can’t recall going to a place where the staff was that much unfriendly.. seriously!
