Would happily buy the rest of my gear here u til end days.
They really live up to their satisfaction gaurantee
BEST MUSIC STORE
Very helpful staff to guide what to purchase and good options for demo in store or ordered to try them on
Excellent service, found everything I needed
Always stocked with all the best toys..
Love the place. Always go there for my music needs.. In my 20 years going there I have run across a few arrogant csr jerks but lately service seems better.. My biggest pet peeve is hours..Fine if you don’t open Sundays but your Saturday hours and week day hours should run later.. Its called shift work.. Like wed to sat should be open till 9 pm. Or at least Thurs to Sat.. Its not acceptable.
Negative zero stars for guy who identifies as ‘I work here’ for having zero business sense. Or common sense. He insists on the correct walking direction in the parking lot to indicate an acceptable level financial contribution to Long & McQuade’s.
Wow. Music lessons – cancelled, instrument – returned. Will also tell 10 other parents for good measure.
Threatening customers with towing first and asking questions never is what the reader might come across here. Enjoy ‘guilty until proven innocent mentality’ at this location.
Horrendous experience with music lessons. Disorganized, long waits, and lack of communication. Extremely disappointing.
Was in there yesterday at approximately 7pm. Had to do a rental, and the only reason I came to this location was they couldn’t get the product I needed at my home store. The guy had no idea what he was doing and couldn’t search the right product that the Richmond store told me they had 2 (the only reason I went to the other store). Then the only one they had was double the price to rent. I really had no choice. Then he made it out to be my problem he was like, “I wasn’t the bloke at Richmond who screwed up” and ASKED me how bout i take $40 off, and I’m like how bout $50 between the gas and time and difference in what the original quote was and what I had to pay was almost $100 difference. This guy then got personally offended like I was taking money out of his own pocket, saying I was being rude. I’ve done many rentals with Long & McQuade and can’t belive this guy works for you! The guy I was dealing with had no name tag, just round gold glasses and a black mask black longer hair and used “RE-LS” as his employee sign on (found on receipt). Not impressed and will make sure to never go back to that location and always deal with the Richmond store who actually care and are not in a rush to get you out. There were at least 5-10 employees off to the far left of the rental area being so loud , I honestly thought it was a party and couldn’t hear anything this guy at the rental counter was saying the WHOLE time. Don’t think this is how most stores are run, because I’ve been to your naniamo store also and that was right up there with the service at Richmond. Like I said not impressed.
2. Massullo Music
Address: 4242 Hastings St, Burnaby, BC V5C 2J6, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
Great store. We are renting the instrument for my son and we go there from time to time to buy the accessories. The staff is always very friendly and super professional. We’ve been there again last Sat (Jan 28th 2023) and Adam helped us chose the neck strap for a saxophone. He went above and beyond to find the best neck strap for my son. He showed us every one he had in stock and he even took a saxophone from the store so my son can try the neck strap. He also helped us find a very good pull through cleaning cloth and we got the discount. We left the store very happy. I am highly recommending Massullo Music shop.
Nice and helpful staff.
I had my saxophone fixed last time I went in less than an hour, it was great to have someone knowledgeable to help fix problems with my instrument
Great place, great music, great advice, nice staff.
Friendly professional service. You can consign trumpets here.
very friendly and approachable
3. Long & McQuade Musical Instruments
Address: 960 England Ave, Courtenay, BC V9N 2N6, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
Very helpful staff and great selection of instruments! Very impressed with this store and with how friendly and pleasant it was to deal with the booking of lessons.
The staff there are all very friendly and know what they are talking about. The stings I wanted were not in stock, but they ordered them right away. The selection of guitars and amps is great even though there are not many.
Helpful staff in locating hard to get items.
Great staff and highly knowledgeable. If you park at front entrance the parking is atrocious due to small amount of parking and the spots are for small vehicles unless the spaces are empty you may way to park at the back of the facility. Four stars because of the main entry parking being not ideal.
Knowledgeable and responsive staff. Would appreciate a larger selection of books, but the basics are covered.
Great place to rent musical instruments in the Comox Valley. Excellent customer service & support.
What should have been a day of joy (not every day you drop 6k on a new axe), quickly turned sour at the hands of a borderline combative and seemingly bitter store clerk. His belittling and elitist nature, loudly arguing with me about I wanted done on “my” new acoustic guitar, dismissing my interests as unfounded and trivial in front of other staff, left me shamed and livid, and I couldn’t wait to leave this location. So much so, I left without the electric guitar, and new set of harps I was going to pick up as well. By far the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a while. After looking forward to this day for so long, it feels very poor. I lament that I have pending business that will bring me back to this location in a few days..
Obviously owned by a guitar player, however as a drummer I can’t help but feel that long and McQuade is phasing out their drum section. Really unhelpful and uninterested drum guy mixed with bad selection both in store and in stock. Amazons kicking your butt people.
Awesome store for variety and service is very good with lots of help from employees but store prices are a rip off. Baught an $800 electric acoustic guitar when all other sites and stores have exact same guitar for $500 so make sure you check other places before you purchase from here.
Also check other guitar/pawn shops. Was told to bring my old guitar in for estimste and resell. After cleaning and polishing a Les Paul style Epiphone originally vaulued at 1600 i was only offered 600 for the guitar and a random pawn shop offered me 900 for the new like condition
4. Long & McQuade Musical Instruments
Address: 955 Lorne St, Kamloops, BC V2C 1X1, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
Awesome store. Richard went above and beyond to help me get my guitar setup. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Were helpful to me with a difficult order and got what I needed despite some hiccups. Long and Mcquade always coming through for me. big upz.
Favorite place.
Always friendly, knowledgeable staff, some good deals on used gear.
Huge selection of music instruments, knowledgeable staff.
Free guest wifi 24/7
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
Went into the store to go see about returning a guitar that was originally bought at Long and McQuade less than 6 months ago. When inquiring about how the return would work (1) either getting our debt paid off completely and to then get reimbursed for the remaining balance of what they would take the guitar back for, or (2) stay on our payment plan and get reimbursed for the price they would take the guitar back for, we were RUDELY told “ what do you mean, we aren’t a bank” and had a second member of their staff unnecessarily come over to reiterate that that they aren’t a bank. Never once did we insinuate this, and never once did we think that paying our business back to Long and McQuade would warrant such an ignorant encounter. We will never go back and nor should anyone with any level of customer services expectations.
Owner or guy with sun glasses is a jerk
Obviously doesn’t want me near store using free wifi
Looks like he’s a hippy from the Cia…..rather than use his bugged connection I will use the one across the street
Fire this moron Cia agent for not encouraging the suspected terrorist to use the bugged internet
And tipping em off
Avoid this shop. Lousy customer service. Required payment prior to checking out a very pricey guitar, quoting ‘in Good Faith’. What a joke!
5. Gandharva Loka World Music Instruments Inc
Address: 1650 Johnston St, Vancouver, BC V6H 3S2, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
All sorts of rare, unusual and beautiful instruments for sale. Quality ranges from kid toys to pro level. Friendly staff.
My favourite music store. L
I went in and was incredibly happy with the stores variety of instruments and the staff seemed very knowledgeableas well, however the lady who was one of the owners had a very unpleasant attitude and made me feel guilty about asking to play anything. I will be going again, but I will try to avoid going when she is working.
However aside from that one thing I seriously love this store!
A lot of great features music instruments there, my son had increased his knowledge
I just looked from outside and I found several weird musical instruments that I neve have seen in my life. For someone who plays that must be the spot!
Rude unwelcoming staff.
A uniqe example of worst customer service ever, especially the lady owner of the store. I have tried them on few occasion, even left deposit on the item in order to workout a deal and have them to give me a final price, not only they did not call me back, but also they were not willing to give me refund after I followed up with them in ten days. The filling that you get in that store is, this is what it is get it or leave the store, in another word my way or highway.
Drove all the way from the Okanagan twice with the intention to purchase multiple instruments to add to my collection for my Sound Healing Studio and both times was shocked by the extremely unwelcoming staff. After being ignored for most of my visit and made to feel like I was just in the way, I asked to try one of the bowls and was informed very rudely that they were expensive … my budget was 5K. When I told her I was there to purchase instruments for my studio she handed me a mallet (wrong one for the bowl I was asking to hear) and turned her back to me again. I left with nothing, both times. I even emailed ahead of time asking if they had certain instruments in stock and still haven’t received a response over a month later…. so sad.
6. Eddy Music
Address: 580 Baker St, Nelson, BC V1L 4H9, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
Very friendly people there!!!!! Great place to go to for guitars.
Great selection, the guy at the counter was a real hoot. Would recommend
Lots of good selection on guitars and ukeleles.
Area is becoming less and less unkept. Clutter takes away from personal enjoyment.
Very good instrument store in the city, super friendly staff
Dealer sold me strings that broke the bridge of a guitar they sold me. Its a wonderful guitar. however they should know Better than to sell/recommend strings that will literally break the guitar they are going to installed on. Items that are cheap in bigger centres are expensive but their instrument prices are fair. Wouldn’t stop by for advice but if you know what you want and they got it… Eh.
For a small store they do have a large selection.
The woman was nice but the man was so arrogant
The 80s ponytail man needs to take some time for self reflection and realize that he is losing sales because of his ARROGANCE.
Just my opinion, but I will never go there again. will not even step in the store. ignorant, arrogant and abusive, and seem to have a thing against women. I had to take them to court to get them to refund a very expensive item they sold to my kid and she won her case.
7. Bonerattle Music
Address: 2012 Commercial Dr, Vancouver, BC V5N 4A9, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
Great guitar and string instrument shop. Good selection of new and used equipment. Friendly and knowledgable folks.
Needs more selection of everything
well? can’t find it
Great music shop
Called they didn’t even know what a Blue Yeti mic (One of the most used mics) was …. Please learn audio products
The worst music shop in Vancouver. Please avoid this place at all costs. It is really too bad as it would be nice to have a nice little privately owned music shop in this particularly artsy neighbourhood. However, the owner and his staff are strangely paranoid, defensive, and not very helpful.
8. Tapestry Music Ltd
Address: 4440 W 10th Ave, Vancouver, BC V6R 2H9, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
Very friendly. Ordered my harmonica in just the right key I wanted. Thanks!
Another great visit as many times before. Really loved their service
It was my first time being in the store. I had rented a saxophone for my sons band and had to return it. Upon returning it i was greeted with so much kindness.
The funny thing is that I’ve been wanting to learn the guitar and it was something i wanted to add to my 2022 hobby. I saw that there was a long wall of them all lined up and asked for some assistance. Started asking some questions. I original intention was to rent and try it out. The knowledge and the friendly customer service led me in finding a guitar that i fell in love with.
Im not one to write reviews but the customer service is jus so amazing. I forgot to mention when i had rented my sons saxophone, they dropped it off at his school which saved me the trip as i live out by Burnaby North.
Thank you again for all your guidance and for my new found hobby.
Sending love and light,
Gina
I wasn’t exactly sure of what I wanted when I went into the store and the two guys there were attentive and very helpful. I know I will be going there again as I will need some good advice in my musical instrument purchase.
For many years, I’ve been shopping at the Tapestry Music store and the employees have come and go, but the experienced and enthusiastic customer service has never gone. Love their designs and declaration of the store and it always makes my shopping experience relaxing and enjoyable.
They very kindly transferred a choral folder from the Victoria store over to west 10th avenue and texted when in the store . All good thanks
the staff was nice but thats about it . i took my music man amp in to get it working .after 3 weeks .I had to call and ask whats up???? the guy told me he couldnt find a schematics sheet. it took me maybe 5 mins to find one …please dont take these guys anything serious . wow 100 .dollars for nothing i mean nothing. another shop fixed my amp in 4 days… come on man how do you guys look in the mirrow ??? Hans actually showed alot of class and refunded me the bench fee .i really appreciate that.
and ihave to give him props for that.
Thanks Hans
9. Music Gallery & Academy
Address: 1468 Marine Dr, West Vancouver, BC V7T 1B7, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
I came across this shop about 3 years ago. As a violinist/fiddler I have dealt with large giant music stores and small ones all over Canada. My first experience was enough to fall in love with the people that work here and the atmosphere. They carry a great selection of Violins, World music fiddles and accessories with amazing prices. I was surprised to find better prices and better service! “I love their customer service”. The employees were professional and knew what they were doing. I purchased a high end bow made in Czeck Republic and many other accessories and I have been very happy ever since. I highly recommend this shop to everyone 🙂 Thank you guys for the great service. 🙂
I bought an electric drumset with Regina and Charlie’s help. It was a floor model so Charlie helped me to pack it away and bring it to the car. Regina was very pleasant to interact with
We had a wonderful experience at The Music Gallery. So much selection to choose from, and very friendly staff. Regina was extremely helpful, trustworthy and went above and beyond to help us choose a ukulele. I highly recommend this store for all your musical needs (even lessons!). Five stars!
Very nice store and incredibly friendly customer service. I would definitely recommend it, but I can’t quite give it a five star rating.
I initially went in looking for left-handed guitars. Unfortunately, they did not have any in stock. I am used to this, however, so that wasn’t too big a deal. I instead opted to order a particular left-handed La Patrie from Music Gallery, since they offered me an extra “Grand Opening” incentive. I was given an estimated delivery time and patiently waited…
I finally got the call to come and pick up the new guitar. I sat down in the store to try it out for the first time, only to discover there was a large crack running halfway down the face of the guitar body. I am sure the damage most likely occurred during shipping, but I did find it surprising that nobody had inspected the instrument in-store before giving it to me.
A new guitar then had to be ordered. The Music Gallery called me to tell me that the representative for Godin had told them that there were no more left-handed models of the guitar I wanted in stock. Therefore, a new one would have to be made. Out of curiosity, I e-mailed La Patrie myself to inquire as to how long that process might take. They responded telling me that they had several in stock and one would only take a week to ship. Now I’m not necessarily blaming The Music Gallery for the error, but some sort of miscommunication had occurred. Had I not inquired myself, I would have likely waited a significant amount of time for the wrong model of guitar to be made and shipped, only to then have to wait yet another period of time for the proper one to finally be shipped.
To their credit, The Music Gallery did let me keep the broken instrument for the duration of the wait. I now have my intact La Patrie, and can say that I really do love it.
Edit: The owner, Mike, contacted me to follow-up on my experience and review. It definitely demonstrated the care he has for every customers experience, especially for any experience that is anything short of exemplary. He explained to me that many guitar buyers are very particular about their new guitars, and in his experience they tend to prefer not to have anyone handling their new instruments before they do. Obviously, the damage that I discovered is more of a freak occurrence, and the ‘no-inspection policy’ would not typically lead to such problems.
Additionally, Mike explained that the plot as I explained above is incorrect. When he ordered a replacement for the broken guitar, the wrong guitar was never ordered. He was more than willing to e-mail me evidence that the correct guitar was requested in Godin’s system from the very first step. This does not change the fact that I was told the wrong guitar had been ordered initially. I’m glad to hear that I was never going to be disappointed when the wrong guitar arrived. But I still did experience a fair amount of stress as a result of the miscommunication, since (at least from my perspective) this was an expensive purchase that I did not anticipate as being stressful.
I appreciate the follow-up and discussion of my experience with Mike. He apologized profusely, and assured me steps would be taken to prevent any miscommunication in the future. This is truly a level of customer service that I have never experienced in a guitar store before.
low variety of products and prices are usually more expensive than other chain stores like Tom Lee or Long and Mcquade
I’m a piano technician and have known many dealers. I visited The Music gallery today, and met Michael, the owner. I was favourably impressed with him and his store. He is very welcoming and considerate gentleman. His main line is Hailun pianos. I was given the opportunity to tune one, and found it very nice to work on. It is as well engineered as Yamaha, if not better, with a far superior tone, sustain and decay. It is more like a good German upright than a typical Asian piano.
To those seeking a piano, I would definitely recommend checking out The Music Gallery.
drove a long way and time out of my day to see an amp Shertler Jam 100. I was told is in stock even when I called first, I arrive at the store and they do not have the product.
10. Rufus Guitar Shop
Address: 2621 Alma St, Vancouver, BC V6R 3S4, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
Always the bee’s knees. Great staff who are always helpful. I buy all my gear at Rufus 🙂
Good service.
great place! very helpful staff. highly recommended for lessons.
Been going to this store for years, mainly to buy strings and such but I’ve helped a few friends buy a few bits of equipment from here too. The big stores have a greater selection but I find the staff to be really good at answering questions and helping you out if they have what you’re looking for. Good local store for the westside for this sort of stuff and staff are generally quite helpful but on occasion you’ll get someone in a bit of a mood, probably a bad gig or something, so I never would take it personally.
Probably the best feature about this place is the care and attention they put into setups/repairs and for a really decent price compared to what I’ve paid elsewhere. For awhile they had someone apprenticing who wasn’t very good a few years back at it but the older guy seems to really get it done proper and sometimes go above and beyond and will remedy the situation if you’re unhappy from my experience. Overall a decent local store run by working musicians, good for local needs and open on the later side if you’re getting off work or forgot that thing you need for the gig.
Great stock. A bit pricey but still worth checking out if you play guitar or want to get into it. #1 local pick for Vancouver.
The manager is a real nice guy very friendly and helpfull. Thanks for your time. Paul Bennett … StringSlinger.
Gotta say, I had a really bad experience with Rufus’s Guitar Shop. I dropped off my guitar to be appraised on August 31. After three to four weeks of waiting, I was beginning to get concerned something had happened. I dropped in to the shop and Rufus (I suppose, never did get his name) assured me everything was fine, he was just really backed up at the moment. Fair enough. He took some pictures of my guitar so I could take it home, and he said he’d be in touch.
After two more months of waiting, I had had enough. I went in to see what the heck was taking so long. With no word of apology, he just flipped open an appraisal book (the same book that a staff member had leafed through when I first dropped off my guitar) and gave me the same price estimate I had heard three months before. I told him that three months was a long time to wait for this kind of service. He told me that they were really backed up, and that they were dealing with a new cash system, neither of which would excuse the fact that they didn’t even bother to get in touch with me to tell me it was going to be a while.
So I stood by while Rufus typed up my appraisal, all the while he was leafing through old photos and pretty much going off memory as to the condition of my guitar. He handed me the appraisal and said, “Well now I only have two people on my guilt list!”
Rest assured, I will not be on his guilt list again. Had he made any effort to apologize for my wait, or offered me some sort of discount (a potential bridge repair was quoted at $180, he could have knocked 20 bucks off and I would’ve been happy). But as it stood I left the store extremely dissatisfied with the total lack of customer service. No communication, no owning of mistakes made, just lame excuses and silence. I’m a really patient guy, but waiting three months for such little effort was a waste of time.
I would not recommend Rufus’s Guitar Shop.
Very bad experience
Ordered a guitar online through Reverb. It arrived with really bad fret buzz in the upper neck. I contacted the seller (Rufus) who pretty much dismissed my concerns, saying they check each guitar carefully before shipping and that the fret buzz could be a result of anything from climate, to my set up preference to my amp (!!!). They suggested I take the guitar in to get it set up to my liking, which I did.
$100plus later, the tech who looked at the guitar informed me there was a twist in the neck. The guitar was defective.
I contacted Rufus again and got another arrogant response, including telling me that the tech I took it to was not certified by Fender and therefore his opinion didn’t count. I was provided a list of Fener-certified techs. I took the guitar to one of them (Junction Guitars in Toronto …. highly highly recommended), who confirmed that there was in fact a twist in the neck, contacted the distributor and got me a new guitar within a week.
Never again.
Came in 30 minutes to closing. Empty store. Three employees on computers. They did not say hello or acknowledge me while I stood by the till choosing strings. When I asked for help choosing a few sets of strings they seemed annoyed and wanted me gone. Asked for a string change tool and it was like I asked for the world. I’ll definitely be going to chain stores now. Serves me right for shopping local.
11. Long & McQuade Musical Instruments
Address: 620 Comox Rd, Nanaimo, BC V9R 3J3, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
I love this store. It’s the number one music store in Nanaimo. I didn’t buy anything but the Customer Service exceeded my expectations. These people have true passion for music and equipment.
The thing I love about Long & Macqude is that the service is undeniable the best ever in knowing answers to all of my questions about their equipment or mine and they are very well schooled in knowledge of the instruments and I do believe most are pro musicians themselves…anyways the trust you completely to handle the big Dollar Guitar’s and plug in an play as well…
Thank you to All Staff at the Nanaimo location I love just coming into the store to talk music gear, see you soon
Brian
Helpful staff but selection of sheet music seems pretty limited.
Nice people. Helpful, and will try to answer your questions as best as they can. Parking is limited.
Great equipment selection and very knowledgeable staff
Finally had the time to write my thoughts in regards by the general standoffish attitude of a sales associate. I have always treated others with kindness and just general helpfulness in my said profession as a salesman myself. THOMAS, from what I experienced that day came off like my general questions were a bother making me feel like I was beneath his level of whatever that would be. I realize no one wants to work these days so employees basically hire who shows up. Desperate times indeed. Perhaps it is his first job dealing with the public? Or the fact I am clearly not as an experienced musician such as himself? I support a business that treats others with courteousy. So with that I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Thanks for nothing, oh we close in 12 minutes, why aren’t you wearing the mask, not much selection for drum accessories, find better help at a pawn shop. Might as well buy yer things online with no proper service.
Came in for a re string. The re string is great and looks good, but the service I got from an employee named Mike felt rushed and he didn’t even give me a chance to pick the strings I wanted. Just felt his customer service was really poor. Based on that experience I’m going to go somewhere else from now on.
12. Tom Lee Music Richmond
Address: 3631 No. 3 Rd #150, Richmond, BC V6X 2B9, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
This place is awesome. Online it said it offered exactly the reeds I needed to sound as good as I usually do, but only in boxes of 10 which is not only common practice in every music store in BC but also completely understandable and I don’t resent this at all. When I got there, I had a wonderful shopping experience and was blown away by the excellent customer service. I was especially impressed with how patiently they were dealing with this other customer in the store who was giving them a hard time even though they didn’t know anything about reed shopping etiquette. u guys have earned urselves a loyal customer for life ! would come back again
Great service, Alex Gave good advice.
Audio technica ATH-R70X, below MSRP.
Best store for music in the area, much more selection then L+M. Very friendly, they can order from other stores often within a day and helpful.
I rented a Clarient for 2 years and the man gave me a paper there was also a cheaper version of the clarinet brand new and he also showed me how to build it properly great service he knows my main language and English
What a great customer service experience I had at Tom Lee Music here in Richmond, BC. James Dahl listened to what I was looking for in a guitar. While at other stores it was, “but how much I can you spend?” (Gee dad; let’s see how much allowance I have left.) So I went to Tom Lee’s in Richmond, I was happy with my purchase. A used Yamaha AES 620. When I got home the sound on the D string sounded flat so I returned today and while James was busy in the back a young man by the name of William Kendrick assisted me. He had a look and I can not say enough about his true customer service skills. Replaced the old strings, a few tweaks a through clean up and even tweaked my other electric guitar. You know when you get great service and treated like a customer/friend and not like an ATM that says a lot. There is NO WAY I would shop anywhere else for music other than at Tom Lee Music.
I didn’t get paid for writing this but I sure did get my moneys worth.
Okay place. Good selection of guitars. When I went in to get a piece of cork that fell of my clarinet and the staff member glued it on with SUPERGLUE. the next day my clarinet piece was stuck to my case and my band teacher has to peel the cork of and apply a new one.
Don’t shop for pianos here the service is horrible. We went in for 20 minutes to try their selection, and 3 staff members sat at their desks on their cell phones and not one person even looked up to say hello, never mind offering any service. Run out of there as fast as you can!!!
Rude staff with poor knowledge! Never rent and Never go there again! You definitely may find better service and friendly staff in Massulo!
Save yourself the headache and avoid Tom Lee altogether. Long and McQuade are a much better choice. The customer service at Tom Lee is terrible every step of the way.
13. Tom Lee Music Coquitlam
Address: 2560 Barnet Hwy #116, Coquitlam, BC V3H 1W3, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
The staff are great – helped me pick out the perfect MIDI controller for my needs, and Dallas was very helpful when I needed it serviced. These guys stand by their products!
very helpful
Greatest customer service I’ve experienced. Staff are very knowledgeable, patient, and friendly.
The store manager is what makes this store a place that I come back to shop at. He is knowledgeable, and friendly. The only thing I don’t like here is the low selection of inventory, and no place to try electric guitars and amps (like a sound proof room).
I was given a guitar recently, didn’t have a clue on how to tune it and broke a string on my first day. The staff set the new string, tuned my guitar and fixed another major problem that I hadn’t even noticed. They didn’t charge me for anything and gave me some picks to try out.
I thought that was pretty great service!
We have been here 3 times at their new location, excellent service, Dallas was very knowledgeable and helpful. Maverick also helped us picked out some equipment and was most helpful. We will be back! Thanks.
Tom Lee Music normally first class….but not today. I called the Coquitlam store to ask for specific cables. Yea, they had them in stock. I knew it was close to closing time so I informed the pleasant clerk that I was in Coquitlam and I’m on my way. I should make it by six but maybe a couple minutes late due to traffic. She said ok I think you’ll make it. I said I’m on my way and I desperately need the cables.
I drove like crazy to get there and unfortunately got held up at the red light in front of their store. I arrived at their front door 3 minutes after six. The lights were off tills closed and no one to be found. Ok I get it, it’s time to go…but i called first and let the clerk know I was on my way…I guess they just don’t need the business. Management needs to change at this location…bad example of so called customer service. Tom Lee Music you are better than that…
phone system sucks! it is very frustrating when all I wanted to know if the music lesson is still a “go” when there’s winter storm in the lower mainland. invest in better phone system or start answering the call!!
Not much choices than other. regret
14. Parksville Music Centre
Address: 104 Middleton Ave, Parksville, BC, Canada , Poiana , British Columbia , Canada
Extremely rude over phone didnt even make it past introductions… ask what kinds of lessons they offered and got a “we do musical instruments, why?” Horrible customer service. I never write reviews ever but that experience should not happen.
