Friendly staff that makes it a pleasure to shop there
very good
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have everything you need.
Very helpful and friendly staff, however the website states that they are open right now till 5pm, this is Sat Feb 13 at 330 and when I called the message machine said it closes at 1pm on Sat. So glad I called and saved myself a trip for nothing, that would have not pleased me.
Friendly, knowledgeable, and good at what he does. He’s got a real passion for pianos, and it shows in his work. Very highly recommended for any and all piano service. Great musician too!

Very friendly, helpful people. Almost always as cheap as Amazon, and they’ll save you money when they can, in lieu of taking advantage.
I’ve had many dealings with the staff here, and have always had great advice and service.
Great place for the everyday stuff. Not a place to go for boutique quality gear. Helpful staff!
Great variety of instruments
Good legal advice
Got a guitar and ordered a hard case for it was tolled it would be in the following week. This is the following week so being Friday called to see, why they did not call, found out that it has not been shipped and will be next Thursday, hope they are right this time.

This place is awesome to shop

Picking up parts for my tractor…
Staff is very helpful
Helpful staff
Very good service
I bought a used skid steer from this group, it was advertised as “gone over and ready to go”. When my unit was delivered it had a park brake that didn’t hold, a hydraulic tank drastically low on hydraulic fluid, an air filter jammed packed full of dirt and straw, lie engine oil, pedals with holes in them, and work lights burnt out in the front and completely missing in the back, just wired flopping around. I would expect those basic maintenance needs not to be over looked when “gone over” prior to sale.
I went to this establishment hoping to support local. I walked into the sales area around 915 looking at potentially purchasing a lawn tractor and a snow blower, if the price was fair. As there were no other vehicles I. The lot I figured that I would have undivided attention. I was greeted at the door by someone who briefly walked passed me and out the door. I shrugged it off and walked up to the counter, waited about 10 minutes, then walked area the whole building, and I realized that there was absolutely no one in the building. I thought this was weird as I had full access to the gift shop area and or anything in the building. However, I am an honest person so I just stood there and waited another 10 minutes. As I still haven’t seen anyone, I figured I would go outside and check the prices on the lawn tractors myself. Unfortunately, they were locked up and I could not make out the prices. I then returned into the building in hopes of help, waited another 5 minutes with no avail, gave up and went home. I really hope this is a one off for the boss’s sake.
After having purchased a piece of equipment from Kensington Ag, I was really taken back by the poor communication from their sales group, when I voiced my displeasure to a manager I was met with hostility and clear lack of desire to work with the customer in any way. I will shop elsewhere in the future.
5. MMC Music Workshop
Address: Basement, 251 Water St, Summerside, PE C1N 1B5, Canada , Kensington , Prince Edward Island , Canada
Great people and great service, couldn’t ask for more.
The best place to learn playing musical instrument.
Great selection, hours should be adjusted. I cant make it as much as I’d like because I work when its open
I custom ordered a mandolin case to ship a mandolin to my brother out west. There was a $50 non refundable deposit (understandable) however Covid happened and the shipping was delayed for over 6 month. It was supposed to be 5-10 days. By that time my brother had already made other shipping arrangements. I went in today to inquire as to whether or not the deposit could just be used towards another purchase as obviously a 6 month wait is way too long for a fancy shipping box however I was told that “non refundable “ is non refundable. I’m a musician and a DJ, my parents, siblings, and our children are also musicians. 3 of us have dumped over $10,000 on drum kits alone at Long and McQuade and that’s the tip of the iceberg in our purchases. I didn’t even want a refund. I wanted to make a purchase. I need a new mixing board. My last Mackie board I purchased is being used with my gear in NS. I’ll buy my one for the PEI events somewhere other than Long and McQuade.
Worse place to order from take for ever and not nice
10. Kensington Train Station

Reviews
Vegan burger and excellent vegan gravy
Watch out for zooming snowmobiles
Very nice
My favourite cinnamon buns are here. A biscuit base seems to be very popular in PEI, but are often a little tough and lacking in flavour, but this coffee shop made theirs with more cinnamon flavour, and the coffee was good too. I love how friendly everyone out here is. It reminds me of my childhood in Manitoba. We will be back when we can
Not exactly what we were expecting. Kensington is a bustling, busy place. We were there at lunchtime, and the whole area was very busy. The station area is cute, but it makes little-to-no attempt to cater to fans of Anne. Although it is supposedly the station from the Green Gables story, there is no indication or mention of that fact at the location, as far as we could see. There are public bathrooms available near the station.
Good cold beverages. Nice staff. Delicious jalapeno cheese dip!
Sadly, there is no chowder until summer. Could have used it on this cold June 2nd. Day!

Address: 55 Victoria St E, Kensington, PE C0B 1M0, Canada , Kensington , Prince Edward Island , Canada
Great record shop with a nice little cafe in the back.
Didn’t buy anything today but great selection and prices were very good.
Great place!
Nice little record shop. I found it a little expensive for all the used items. Used CDs were $8 each
Quite a bit of vinyl to choose from. They want to know what your tastes are and seem engaged and proactive in their customer relations. I’ll definitely be back!
Good collection of records. My only comment is that it would have been beneficial to know that used newer vinyl was sitting right at the front. I browsed alphabetically for awhile before realizing this. Staff was friendly but did not really engage or offer assistance. A 30 minute visit could have been 5 minutes with a little help.
It makes me think of the record store in High Fidelity but staff are not as knowledgable, makes uou want to buy online.
Selection was nit very good considering they are the only ones here that sell records
I really have not shopped here just passed by all the time
13. Island Stone Pub
Address: 62 Broadway St N, Kensington, PE C0B 1M0, Canada , Kensington , Prince Edward Island , Canada
What can I say that hasnt already been said about this delightful establishment?
Truly worth your time, your appetite and your wallet.
Their more than reasonable prices are equally matched by an incredible staff, both front of house and back. And the demand of excellence is adopted from the top down; as the owner operators are the friendliest, most skilled and welcoming people I have met on the island so far!
Stop by for a meal, you will not be disappointed. I guarantee that!!
The perfect meal and service loved it..
Had a great experience. The food and beer were delicious. Owner very friendly. A special thanks to Carolyn who was our amazing waitress that night and made our experience even better.
Food was great and service superb. Love this wonderful local eatery.

I’m totally perplexed by this place. They had a sign out saying the entire restaurant was filled with dinner reservations. I asked the hostess if that was accurate and she said yes but she would find us a table. Then she took us in to see 70% of the tables were vacant. The menu has 5 different hamburger platter options. Literally 5 hamburgers with slight variations. But they don’t have much of anything else. We both settled on the club sandwich since that’s usually a safe option. When the food came out we were given greasy deep fried, breaded chicken burgers on hamburger buns. With pickles on them. We thought it was a mistake because that is not a club sandwich. The waitress said that’s just how they make a club sandwich — as a greasy deep fried chicken burger you’d find in a shopping mall cafeteria. The waitress sort of acted like we were ridiculous for thinking anything was amiss when this just plain and simply isn’t what a club sandwich is supposed to be like.
At no point during the 90 minutes we were there did they ever exceed 50% occupancy and everyone who came up and asked for a table was immediately given one. So their sign saying they were full with reservations is actually just some sort of silly mind game to make you feel like they’ve done a favor for you in accepting you as a customer.
It was just weird. Cost me $90 for two chicken burgers of lesser quality than KFC or Wendy’s and two beers. Overall strange experience. I don’t understand why their menu has 5 hamburgers and 1 chicken burger falsely advertised as a club sandwich, with few other options. I won’t be going back. It’s definitely a place that won’t hold up well to actual competition and now with the vastly superior pub across the street I’d say this place better up its game significantly and quickly or else the island stone pub will become island stone condos for lease.
The pub across the street is great, though! Kensington is a beautiful little town. (You know it might actually work out better if they just turned the place into condos ).
We arrived about 7 or 8 minutes early to a 6:45 reservation and we were asked to come back in 15, so we did. There were 2 tables recently emptied right when you walk in but we still waited about 5 mins to be seated in an even more cramped back seating area, but fine it’s busy, we were looking forward to dinner. After being seated we waited about 5 mins to order and the waitress only took my husbands order for beer while me and my 11yr old daughter sat thirsty. My husband stopped her long enough to get a Pepsi for my daughter and remove the fries from my plate because I won’t eat them, and really it’s so cramped and taking so long, I just want to eat my burger and get out. More than 30 minutes later I flag the waitress to ask when we could expect our dinner and she snapped at me and told me how busy they were. I could see that but everyone around us were eating. We had ordered 3 burgers with fries. With that we decided to leave. We just get out the door and the owner jumps out and says “your food is ready to hit the table but I can see we can’t do anything to please you tonight”. Considering I wasn’t even served a beverage (not tap water), I’m failing to see how anyone tried to please me. At the same time as this was happening, a couple walks up and catches his attention to be seated for 2…looks like reservations don’t matter at this place. One hour later, nearly 8 o’clock it’s clear my family won’t be eating at a restaurant tonight. This was hands down the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had.
I will say every other year since about 2015 since we’ve been going there on our visits, we’ve always had this most lovely and pleasant brunette waitress with long hair. Last night this new waitress, blond with short hair, it was really a very bizarre experience trying to communicate our order to her.
14. Most Wanted Pawn Shop
Address: 189 Water St, Summerside, PE C1N 1B2, Canada , Kensington , Prince Edward Island , Canada
Really great service!!! Everyone in there is very friendly they have fair prices A huge variety of stuff to look at just a great store highly recommend it
Excellent customer service! Dealt with Connor and Gian and they made my experience at their store an extremely pleasant one!
Most wanted pawnshop is the best place to buy game boys and stuff
Overall experience. They rip you off of good valuable items. Wasn’t too bad with the other staff crew that was there before they hired on kids.
Customer service is not great and the person working is really unprofessional and dont know how to greet the customers.
I bought Wii Sports Resort and it doesn’t work.
Very poorly maintained merchandise audio equipment that the guaranteed worked didn’t work speaker was blown up and burnt wires covered up and hidden by hot glue worst place iv been to….will not go back ever again! I don’t recommend this shop
15. Frosty Treat Dairy Bar
Address: 109 Victoria St W, Kensington, PE C0B 1M0, Canada , Kensington , Prince Edward Island , Canada
The best fish and chips I had in my entire life. Portions are huge.
If what you’re looking for is an old fashioned hand pressed homemade hamburger, some fries and or onion rings and a delicious homemade milkshake well here is the spot!
Un resto rapide ordinaire. Correct.
I was in for Fried Clams, but not someplace I would go again.. far to thick breading.. and not very flavorful.. looks like they have lots of other treats might be ok
Delicious fish. Large portions.
Food is fair
Closed up early at 8 when it says close at 9 and slightly rude to customers
Slowest service. Waited an hour for takeout.
The specials of the day aren’t on special, same price as other days.
Expensive for frozen, crinkle fries when we’re the potato province.
