Make sure you have lots of time to browse. Everything was $2, apart from some collections and rare finds (individually priced).
We found a lot of really nice classics in good condition and brought them home.
A hidden gem to be sure! Make sure you have lots of browsing time and enjoy that vintage book smell. 🙂
Good selection, helpful staff, relaxing atmosphere, good prices, fair amount of rare and interesting books alongside a plethora of fiction and non-fiction. There classic literature section was not the largest I’ve seen, but the rest more than makes up for it.
Awesome little used bookstore. All books are $2, magazines are 50 cents.
A lot of books to select from. Pretty much a selection for any interest. A good place to browse, including havibg cookie mixes if you want to make your own cookies.
It’s has lots of books and bargains
Limited Sci-fi selection. Poor book exchange policy
This book store has always lacked the book or books I’m looking for. Further, the owner turned out to be such an animal hater that I wouldn’t spend a cent in his store now. He refused help to a young wild duck lost in town, that hit his window, and blocked efforts of good Samaritans to get it off the burning pavement, and out of danger. He made it clear that he would never make the most minimum effort to help any distressed or injured animal. BOYCOTT THIS STORE!
3. Starbucks
Address: 590 Old Hope Princeton Way, Hope, BC V0X 1L4, Canada , Hope , British Columbia , Canada
Friendly and nice staff, clean place I ordered wrong size and ask them another drink but they didn’t charge me Thanks
Not the cleanest but great service
Great location. Really big and spacious. Staff is friendly.
Very, very long wait for drinks.
Got 2 drink’s from here, was a little busy, so thing’s take time when it’s busy
Yum i finally tried the dragon fruit coconut drink!! It was so good
After waiting 25 minutes for my simple iced coffee I left. Terrible service. Never go there.
Not open yet
It’s too bad this location takes customers for granted being one of the only places to stop for a decent coffee in Hope. 15 minute wait and lost order while travelling through. Paid for + 25% tip and they can’t ‘find’ my order? No apology, no one seems to know how to refund & I’m out the door with nothing. Very happy for this location, business is good – I suppose they can afford to lose a customer or two.
4. Blue Moose Coffee House
Address: 322 Wallace St, Hope, BC V0X 1L0, Canada , Hope , British Columbia , Canada
Myself and my family love coming to the Blue Moose because of the large menu of tasty drinks selection of teas and coffee and great place to sit and chat or meditate
Cozy and delicious!
Great food and coffee
Great stop for any roadtrip. Solid food and drinks!
Great spot. Nummy cinnamon rolls!
We passed through Hope and stopped off at Blue Moose. It was packed and the wait was a bit long but the drinks were very good and staff were friendly.
Very limited plant based options, long wait time and a very medicore oat milk London fog. Staff were very friendly though 🙂
It’s Hope good… and you better be White.
I enjoy the spinach pastry and an americano from here, they’re always consistent. Someone commented earlier how the staff seem happy, but I don’t know how they can tell I’ve never seen their faces, all of them hidden by masks . It’s difficult for me to hear, I rely on watching peoples lips as they speak… it dawned on me today that I don’t converse with these staff or order more because I really just can’t hear Hopefully the next time I come thru Hope & stop in there will be less staff wearing masks so I can understand what they’re saying.
5. Hope Mountain Cafe
Address: 293 Wallace St, Hope, BC V0X 1L0, Canada , Hope , British Columbia , Canada
Best place in town for food! Very clean and bright with wonderful staff. Food is nice and fresh.
Friendly service and wonderful sandwiches! Pho looked good too!
Their scrambled eggs are superlative!
Nice little coffee stop on the road.
Very pleasant place for a snack.
Great coffee, 49th Parallel coffee roasters brand. Good breakfast sandwiches.
Not the greatest food but very friendly staff.
Hope BC is the suicide capital of Canada. I’m sure most of these people were of sound mind until they ate here. At which point being presented with such terrible uninspiring food, was likely too much and decided to call it quits. Don’t come here. Head over the road to Sharon’s instead where it’s infinitely better than here
After waiting in line for 10 minutes it took 20 minutes to get a tea and a latte. Complete waste of time. Just walk down the street to the other place – it’s busy but at least you’ll get your drinks.
6. FIELDS Hope
Address: 770 Fraser Ave, Hope, BC V0X 1L0, Canada , Hope , British Columbia , Canada

Love the new rice bowls
Finally food for restricted diets
Gluten free & diabetics
Dietary restrictions: New rice bowls very good
Best steep tea
Good place to stop for a snack and coffee on a road trip
The Canadian Staples. Tim bits and Coffee
Worst Tim Horton in the world. 35 mins just for 2 coffee. I don’t care you short for staff. That is not my problem. That is your problem forever! If you are the manager, go fire yourself! What’s wrong with this store? Solve it or close permanently! Stop wasting people’s life! What a shame.
Long line up
I waited half an hour for a single coffee in the drive through on many occasions. That is just unexepable
10. RONA Building Supplies – Hope

Absolutely love Bobble Beauty Iris is amazing best technician I have ever experienced the shop is clean and beautiful and conversation is always entertaining!!!

12. Kerfuffle Creations
Address: 332 Wallace St, Hope, BC V0X 1L0, Canada , Hope , British Columbia , Canada
A wonderful gift shop, that has something for everyone. You will find a lovely energy inside
This Store is amazing. It has so many unique gifts for that tough to buy person. The staff go over and beyond to get something in that you are looking for. The store is pet friendly, as the owners love seeing your furry pets. Sarah’s smile just brings a smile to your face and she can help you figure out the special gift. Pat has amazing eye for his knives. Jayme is a ray of sunshine when she is there and loves to show off new stuff that arrives daily.
Very Nice witch and souvenirs store! So happy to find it ! If you love Rambo you will be happy ! If you love witchcraft too! ✨
13. Bee’s Market
Address: 526 Wallace St, Hope, BC V0X 1L0, Canada , Hope , British Columbia , Canada
Loved coming here as a kid for candy! now my kids love coming here too. Bill & Julie have better prices, and more selection for snacks than anywhere in town.
Not just your average corner store. They have something for everyone, especially a wide range of candy, chocolate and drinks. They also have a space at the back for local hand-crafted items. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful; always a great experience. Bee’s is a must-stop store!
Best place in hope
Friendly staff..busy in the summer
This is a great small town market store that has been around for many years. I’ve never heard anything bad about this place.
On a hot summer day, i highly recommend going into Bee’s for 1 of their SCREAMERS.
Great devote lots of candy selection for jids
Since there is a pandemic going on right now, I called to confirm the business hours so I can ship something to this store for someone to pick up a Purolator package.
The guy on the phone told me to go on google and check their hours. I explained and asked him nicely again, it’s the pandemic right now, and on Purolator’s website, it’s asking me to call in to confirm hours. And then he repeated, check the hours on google.
Seriously? What’s your problem? Unacceptable behavior and attitude for either the owner, or owner’s family or the employees.
Not very friendly there
I miss when the Mercer’s used to own Bee’s.. terrible service now
14. Kimchi Restaurant
Address: 821 6 Ave A, Hope, BC V0X 1L2, Canada , Hope , British Columbia , Canada
Fantastic food. Love the Miso Soup. The large rolls are top notch. The staff are friendly and service was good. Nice to see the owner
making the rolls.
I read the reviews first and couldn’t wait to then have lunch. I love sushi and this is one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of ordering from. If you haven’t been there yet, GO THERE!!! It will make sushi lovers out of all of you!,
Thanks.
Foods always good service is fast
Pretty basic fare at a decent price.
I was going to give this place a three. But there was a good variety and the sushi was very good. It didn’t feel quite authentic though. I’ve ordered the same dishes at other restaurants. The food was still good but there were a couple things that were just off. Like the pork cutlet was more like a frozen cutlet you’d get in a grocery store than a freshly prepared one. And the cutlet sauce just tasted like thined out HP sauce. The beef bulgogi was a little on the bland side and was a little too oily.
It was nice enough food and it was a good value. I don’t feel like I paid too much for it. Over all I wasn’t impressed though.
Excellent Good!
Don’t order the Crunch roll. You will be very disappointed as it has virtually nothing in the roll, just lots of rice. Most disgusting roll I have ever tasted. Presentation was worse. Customer service non-existent.
I would put 0 if possible, couldn’t even answer the phone for 15 minutes, went into store to put in an order and there was only 2 tables with occupants. We were told the wait time would be 40 minutes but with 2 customers standing looking extremely upset waiting for their orders, we came back an hour later to be safe. As we were there a young woman was asking about her order that she ordered at 6:00 pm, it wss 645 at this time. She said I was told it would be 20 minutes( keep in mind it’s 45 minutes later when she ordered) the lady then said it would be 30min till her order would be ready, she cancelled and walked out.
Terrible service, only thing good is the rolls are pretty large. This was the first time I haven’t tipped in about 10 years…. Won’t go back.
The food here is fresh but basic with a heavy dose of the cheaper vegetables and not a lot of flavour. The teriyaki sauce everything comes soaked in is sugary gloop. The variety of food on offer is extensive and the portions are generous.
15. Pharmasave Hope
Address: 235 Wallace St, Hope, BC V0X 1L0, Canada , Hope , British Columbia , Canada
My son had a serious accident at work in Vancouver. He will need help for a few months so I went to pick him up to bring him home. He requires medication, so I stopped in Hope on the way home to have the prescriptions filled. The pharmacist went out of his way to accommodate my situation, to get us back on the road quickly, and was very kind. Sending a huge thank you to Pharmasave Hope and all the team there. You made a hard day a lot brighter by helping me out and getting us on the road quickly.
Always great service
Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. I’ve tried other pharmacies in Hope and this is far above the rest.
Favorite Pharmacy, most staff are willing to answer questions, some behind counter get short and arrogant, not a friendly demeanor, sometimes we monitor who is working, before we approach pharmacy counter..
Good place to get products you expect from a drug store from electronics for phone’s to toys clothes etc
Under renovation
As friendly and nice as that they are.The pharmacy department is apparently overwhelmed and understaffed.no communication between stations and cost me extra dispensing fee for emergency pills from pharmacy across the street.any new residents to hope should beware they may or may or may not be able to help you. After being dissatisfied with the pharmacy a 3rd time, I will shop at the hope pharmacy for my medication for now on.
Owner was very rude and unprofessional. I was made to feel like a criminal trying to fill my husband pain meds. I can appreciate due diligence but this man was rude and asked for a criteria to be met, which we were happy to abide but after everything he turned us away even after the endorsement of doctors, hospital, and clinic. Very abnormal for a pharmacist to assume both the prescribing doctor is a fraud and stage 4 cancer is cover story for pain meds. I actually felt profiled by this man as he didn’t seem this way with other patrons. Won’t ever go here again and making a claim through the collage of pharmacists of B.C. After getting our GP to resend this to a more professional pharmacy, the new pharmacy was happy to help and was not understanding the issue hope pharmacy was having as I had provided all Necessary requirements. Our prescribing GP also was not impressed with the tone hope pharmacy’s owner took and was confused by his lack of professionalism.
I have been a patron of this pharmacy for many years and found their service to be fast, friendly and inexpensive BUT I have noticed a considerable drop in service and response time including having to call
back my doctor to verify if prescriptions have been faxed only to be told they have been and having to recall the pharmacy to be told they may have been faxed to another pharmacy in town which means another call to a different pharmacy to be told once again no prescription was ordered in that name only to find out later that the prescription was faxed to the right pharmacy a day earlier but was misplaced by staff??
My partner who is a senior citizen was shocked that during Covid19 no precautionary measures seem to be in place. I phoned before I left home to make sure my prescription was ready when I went in it was not I waited 15 – 20 mins this made me nervous so I explained I will be in the car please bring them to me which took another 15 mins. As we waited we saw people enter and leave with no gloves or mask and the entrance door was never wiped down. No hand sanitizer as you enter or at the counter. When my meds was brought to the car the staff had no gloves the visa machine was not wiped clean it was dirty, oily, greasy and visible finger smudge marks this made me very uncomfortable as I was left wondering that during this pandemic crisis which calls for regular hand washing/sanitizing what was I exposing both myself and my partner who has a severe autoimmune disease to. Please for everyone’s safety instruct and have members of your staff follow and practice safe measures have protocols in place many many seniors shop at your pharmacy.
16. Dollarama
Address: Coquihalla Junction, 588 Old Hope Princeton Way, Hope, BC V0X 1L4, Canada , Hope , British Columbia , Canada
The people that work there are friendly as well, what a treat!
Super busy. Staff was amazing
Selection is not quite up to other dollarama outlets
Difficult to find specific items. Check out staff carry on long irrelevant conversations with customers they know holding up other customers. Staff tend to tell you where an item might be rather than find it for you.
The store is clean & well stocked could have more cashiers on when busy if not for that would of given 5 stars
Went in with my small dog in a pouch, not able to run around or touch anything the clerk was rude about having him in there. I could understand if he was running around or getting into things but he wasn’t…won’t shop there again.
Need more art supplies but service was great hope the shelves well be more beading needles and beading beads different colors
One teller working and I had others behind me waiting, to pay for there things we’ll the second teller went for a smoke break, don’t you think you would help your customers before you go to break.
17. Owl Street Cafe
Address: 19855 Owl St, Hope, BC V0X 1L2, Canada , Hope , British Columbia , Canada
What a cute little place! The whole cafe is decorated with little owl ornaments and has some live edge tables and bar inside and they have a little patio out back. The staff were all so friendly and it appeared many locals come in so there was this very comforting and familiar atmosphere.
Went here on a Sunday (all day breakfast buffet) and loved every moment. The staff catered to my dairy allergy as the eggs are normally cooked in butter for the buffet. Instead they fried me some lovely sunny side up eggs with crispy bacon, toast, and hash browns. All were delicious and filling. I also drank their iced chai tea which was so refreshing after being in a hot car all morning!
Excellent little place to stop in for food! The food was delicious, the building is unique and fun, and the washrooms were nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and clearly care about safety of everyone as well, which is great during Covid times.
Been here multiple times, never disappoints. Excellent service, delicious food (props to the chef) and great atmosphere.
Food was great, friendly service and great atmosphere. Menu was a kind of small and salad proportions were under par considering the price of the meal. Overall, would still recommend visiting and giving them a shot.
Great atmosphere, very friendly service. Limited menu but ok for a lunch or snack.
A nice hidden gem of a place in Hope. Found by fluke. Good quality and tasting food and was a nice stop in on route back to Kelowna. I just wished this one regular guy would have stopped talking about idiot Trump on and on and over and over and so loud about him. Turned me off big time but not cafes fault! Ruined my experience. Would have been a 5 star then.
I am baffled by the good reviews. The food is terrible and severely overpriced. Expect something on par with concession stand quality – a basic sandwich with a plate of crappy potato chips. The billboards are misleading and I would not describe this as homemade. The staff on the other hand are quite nice and are the only reason I can give this place 1 star at all.
I’m sure the food is great, but when the advertisements on google, the reviews and the menus all show delicious breakfast. You should probably, at the very least, add a picture saying that you NO LONGER SERVE BREAKFAST. My wife and I went on our hungry way and eventually found somewhere else to enjoy the rest of our morning. Though we had wasted about an hour. This was supposed to be a special stop for us both on our trip home. Maybe if you try breakfast again we will return.
Deffinitly left disappointed as did the fellow infront of us, who put it perfectly, the menu was just a little too heavy.
The rudest service! The menu online is not accurate and when asked about it we were barked at. Unwilling to accommodate a vegetarian and when leaving my child was given a dirty look. This place is the most hostile useless restaurant I’ve ever visited.
