Fui muito bem atendido! A pessoa que trabalha lá fala português! Isso ajudou bastante! Brasileirada, por mim tá aprovado!!
Had the great fortune of ordering instruments and gear from Massulo over the years. Knowledgeable woodwind technicians. Instruments always travelled in great shape, quick to email and return calls with thoughtful responses. 10/10 would recommend either visiting them in Vancouver or ordering from them online.
Best and most honest service! I appreciate their help.
Service is awesome
Friendly professional service. You can consign trumpets here.
Great place, great music, great advice, nice staff.

Great experience! Thanks to Royce and his superb salesmanship. Well done!
Would happily buy the rest of my gear here u til end days.
They really live up to their satisfaction gaurantee
I went to purchase an electric guitar, and Dave London helped me out with it. He was very patient in answering my questions, the staff were laid back, extremely knowledgeable and didn’t push for upgrades or anything at all. I would definitely recommend l&m just for their quality, selection and consistency of service alone; the atmosphere and service are a huge bonus.
Musical heaven. Great scores and books. However musical instruments seem to be more focused on the beginner/intermediate side…
Well….I left with this…..
Not sure if it’s my bad luck or what. I emailed the lesson center and no response. Called and no one was there to pick up. Called on two separate ocadsions. So I had to go to the store physically. Was ok.
I’ve been to this location a couple of times now because of the longer hours. I wish I had the same experience as the others. Associates have little to no interest of helping. Maybe because I was just renting and trading in equipment.
Horrible service. They won’t call me back and the item I have ordered is months pased its estimated arrival date. Get it together
Was in there yesterday at approximately 7pm. Had to do a rental, and the only reason I came to this location was they couldn’t get the product I needed at my home store. The guy had no idea what he was doing and couldn’t search the right product that the Richmond store told me they had 2 (the only reason I went to the other store). Then the only one they had was double the price to rent. I really had no choice. Then he made it out to be my problem he was like, “I wasn’t the bloke at Richmond who screwed up” and ASKED me how bout i take $40 off, and I’m like how bout $50 between the gas and time and difference in what the original quote was and what I had to pay was almost $100 difference. This guy then got personally offended like I was taking money out of his own pocket, saying I was being rude. I’ve done many rentals with Long & McQuade and can’t belive this guy works for you! The guy I was dealing with had no name tag, just round gold glasses and a black mask black longer hair and used “RE-LS” as his employee sign on (found on receipt). Not impressed and will make sure to never go back to that location and always deal with the Richmond store who actually care and are not in a rush to get you out. There were at least 5-10 employees off to the far left of the rental area being so loud , I honestly thought it was a party and couldn’t hear anything this guy at the rental counter was saying the WHOLE time. Don’t think this is how most stores are run, because I’ve been to your naniamo store also and that was right up there with the service at Richmond. Like I said not impressed.

By far the number one store in the north. Awesome selection with the best service/knoughledge. These guys have all the top brands with good stock. The manager here is a 100% great guy, solid, and on the ball.
Great Music Store. I am just learning to play the Guitar. I couldn’t take my own guitar with me on a trip so I tried renting one. Great way to go. I was treated great and tried out a nice guitar for a very reasonable price. I had to leave a day early and they even refunded that days rental. Highly recommended.
Other than wishing you were open on Sundays (living in Mackenzie sucks sometimes) I was absolutely stoked to find out there is a good selection of Ukeleles there! Can’t wait to find the right one for me!
A great store with a broad spectrum of musical instruments.
Pretty good guitar and music shop. Friendly and helpful staff.
Lots of selection of instruments!
I have attempted to contact the lesson center 3 times with an inquiry for starting lessons, and received no response. My first attempt was approximately one month ago, and twice more since then. I did the online application for lessons first, then called and left a voicemail, and most recently emailed them. I recognize businesses are swamped around Christmas, or perhaps their lessons might be fully booked, but some sort of response or contact would be appreciated. This is very discouraging customer service.

I took my 1/4 cello there to trade for a new one as my current one had large spacing between the strings and the finger board and made playing very hard. The owner and the technician showed a couple of cellos, but then also suggested that if the only issue with the cello is the finger board, he can fix it, especially since I would have to upgrade to a larger size anyways soon. I agreed, and they had me cello fixed at a fraction of what I would have had to pay to a new cello. My teacher was very pleased with their worksmanship. I also bought a Hailun piano from them 6 years ago and have been truly happy with it.
We bought my son’s first piano here. Valentine’s Day gifts and fate have also prompted us to officially enter the music hall. Thank Regina for her warm reception and extremely detailed introduction, which helped us make cost-effective comparisons skillfully without knowing. She is professional and patient. We’re very happy to have such an exquisite and professional musical instrument store in our West Vancouver community. Hope this place will get better and better, and can be more musical instruments and equipment agents to accompany us in the coming decades.
Wonderful experience purchasing my new digital piano from Music Gallery. Regina who assisted is a gem and the owner Mike was very careful with disassembling the piano to load into my small car. I would definitely recommend Music Gallery to anyone for their great service!
low variety of products and prices are usually more expensive than other chain stores like Tom Lee or Long and Mcquade
Very nice store and incredibly friendly customer service. I would definitely recommend it, but I can’t quite give it a five star rating.
I initially went in looking for left-handed guitars. Unfortunately, they did not have any in stock. I am used to this, however, so that wasn’t too big a deal. I instead opted to order a particular left-handed La Patrie from Music Gallery, since they offered me an extra “Grand Opening” incentive. I was given an estimated delivery time and patiently waited…
I finally got the call to come and pick up the new guitar. I sat down in the store to try it out for the first time, only to discover there was a large crack running halfway down the face of the guitar body. I am sure the damage most likely occurred during shipping, but I did find it surprising that nobody had inspected the instrument in-store before giving it to me.
A new guitar then had to be ordered. The Music Gallery called me to tell me that the representative for Godin had told them that there were no more left-handed models of the guitar I wanted in stock. Therefore, a new one would have to be made. Out of curiosity, I e-mailed La Patrie myself to inquire as to how long that process might take. They responded telling me that they had several in stock and one would only take a week to ship. Now I’m not necessarily blaming The Music Gallery for the error, but some sort of miscommunication had occurred. Had I not inquired myself, I would have likely waited a significant amount of time for the wrong model of guitar to be made and shipped, only to then have to wait yet another period of time for the proper one to finally be shipped.
To their credit, The Music Gallery did let me keep the broken instrument for the duration of the wait. I now have my intact La Patrie, and can say that I really do love it.
Edit: The owner, Mike, contacted me to follow-up on my experience and review. It definitely demonstrated the care he has for every customers experience, especially for any experience that is anything short of exemplary. He explained to me that many guitar buyers are very particular about their new guitars, and in his experience they tend to prefer not to have anyone handling their new instruments before they do. Obviously, the damage that I discovered is more of a freak occurrence, and the ‘no-inspection policy’ would not typically lead to such problems.
Additionally, Mike explained that the plot as I explained above is incorrect. When he ordered a replacement for the broken guitar, the wrong guitar was never ordered. He was more than willing to e-mail me evidence that the correct guitar was requested in Godin’s system from the very first step. This does not change the fact that I was told the wrong guitar had been ordered initially. I’m glad to hear that I was never going to be disappointed when the wrong guitar arrived. But I still did experience a fair amount of stress as a result of the miscommunication, since (at least from my perspective) this was an expensive purchase that I did not anticipate as being stressful.
I appreciate the follow-up and discussion of my experience with Mike. He apologized profusely, and assured me steps would be taken to prevent any miscommunication in the future. This is truly a level of customer service that I have never experienced in a guitar store before.
I’m a piano technician and have known many dealers. I visited The Music gallery today, and met Michael, the owner. I was favourably impressed with him and his store. He is very welcoming and considerate gentleman. His main line is Hailun pianos. I was given the opportunity to tune one, and found it very nice to work on. It is as well engineered as Yamaha, if not better, with a far superior tone, sustain and decay. It is more like a good German upright than a typical Asian piano.
To those seeking a piano, I would definitely recommend checking out The Music Gallery.
drove a long way and time out of my day to see an amp Shertler Jam 100. I was told is in stock even when I called first, I arrive at the store and they do not have the product.
5. Long & McQuade Musical Instruments
Address: 13785 104 Ave, Surrey, BC V3T 1W6, Canada , Comuna Ştefan Cel Mare , British Columbia , Canada
Got a secondhand guitar and the place was so cool, the workers were all kind and helpful, too. Really reasonable prices as well and lots of options. I’m super new to instrument playing so I really appreciated him answering all my questions. also… you didn’t hear this from me but the guy that helped me was cute!
long an McQuade is always great ,helpful saff and very knowledgeable
Nice big store. Friendly people. Had most of the parts I needed.
Parking lot is small. Very good at music lessons for kids.
The bass selection is pretty much non existent .
I walked into L&M surrey looking to buy a new acoustic guitar and wasn’t greeted by any of the staff. I noticed they stood around the cashiers till talking amongst themselves. I sat in the guitar room for a good 15 minutes and not one person came to check to see if I might need help.
So I got up and left.
I used to be a big fan of this store, the staff were friendly, attentive and informative.
Not sure if he’s still running the store but Rick Clark (OG store manager) would not be pleased with the customer service.
Very rude and arrogant when you come in for help with tuning an instrument not bought from them.
Horrible place. Not able to reschedule. Took them forever to reply to a phone call. Prices keep going up. Staff are not friendly. I would give a zero star if possible.
Feel I need to give a bit more info here to let people know why they only deserve one star or even lower.
I wanted to reschedule a class but they just couldn’t make it happen. I called once and left a message about rescheduling a class but got no feedback. Then I dropped in later that day to check on things and they said there were working on it. Then I didn’t get any update for confirmation of rescheduling for two days and I called again and left another message. It turned out they didn’t get my second message because no one even checked and they didn’t update or confirm with me about the rescheduling request.
Chris, the coordinator wasn’t helpful at all but kept giving me excuses. Didn’t apologize for their mistake or lack of responsibility but accusing me being mad for their mistake. The so called manger, totally helpless, couldn’t offer any thing and only reached out to me because he thought I was loud.
They don’t have a proper system to reschedule classes and they don’t care about parents and how they feel.
For rescheduling one class, I called twice and left two messages and I went to their store in person, still they couldn’t get it rescheduled with all I did. This is just how they treat their work. Parents, customers, wake up, don’t go there any more.
